Default What time of day do you take Clomid?

My friend told me that her doctor told her to take it in the early morning for best results, but my doctor didn't give me any such instructions. I was just told to take it once a day on days 3-7. When do you take yours and why?

I would take it about an hour before bedtime. It would fean off any side effects of being a ***** LOL

I find it hard to believe there is a "certain time of day" to take clomid.

Good luck

I take it at night to help with the mood swings and hot flashes. I made the mistake of taking it in the morning on my first round a few years ago, and it was not pleasant.

I take mine first thing in the morning.

I think the most important thing is to take it at the same time each day (always at breakfast, always right before bed, etc.).

I take mine in the morning, but my doctor didn't tell me to take it at any particular time, as long as it's the same time everyday.

My dr said the same thing. Time of day isn't important. Just try to take it at the exact same time everyday. I did happen to take mine at bedtime so I could sleep through the side effects too. Hope it works for you.

my doc said just take it at the same time every day. But I have always done the night time. However this past cycle i did it in the morning and felt like crap. I was nauses all day, moody, and crampy. I am defentily doing it at night time. Plus I actually ovulated the last time i did it on night time... So I am going with the luck of Night time is better

I'm in a lose lose situation when I Take clomid now. First two rounds I did 50mg and took it during the day. I didn't have any s/e except the hotflashes and moodiness.

Today is CD 9 for me and my last day of 100mg clomid and OMG I am sooo glad its over. The first two nights I took it at night and couldn't sleep at ALL. I was up till 7am one night before I fell asleep. So I finished the last 3days with taking it in the afternoon and let me say I am so glad I haven't had to work. Dizzy, lightheaded, hotflashes, moodiness, extreme fatigue.. and just a general *out of it* feeling.

Not sure if I want to go through that again, though I know I will.
