What is going on here with the points, ribbons, theft, bank, reputation points, and the whole bit, I'm new and I just don't understand what is going on with all that! Can someone please explain it to me?

You can get points by a number of different ways. I think there is a sticky at the top of this forum that lists them. Basically, posting, starting threads, etc. When you get points, you can purchase ribbons for yourself or gifts for others. You can also change your username or the way it appears. There is a bunch of other stuff too. Go to vbplaza and have a look around.
