Question What works on little blackheads?????

Okay so on my face right under my eyes (Where my glasses sit) I have a ton of little blackheads. I have tried virtually every kind of face wash there is and it won't make them go away! I have stood in front of a mirror before and squeezed them. I know that's bad but I am going nuts here.

I dont know what to do. Does anybody know of anything that could help them go away. Face wash doesnt do anything for them. I need advice!!!

Hi Love,

Black heads are not caused by dirt, but by a break down of skin cells and sebum. So it cannot be washed off.

The best thing to do would be to contact a proffesional facialist,or beautition and have them proffessionaly extracted. If you want to try some home remedies, you can do a search on google and lots will come up.

Good luck dealing with the little buggers

Default Know how you feel...

I get bleackheads too and I don't like them one bit!! Well, I had a facial about 4 weeks ago and the beautician did an "extraction" for me because she noticed that I have a lot of the little buggers! This is not very pleasant but the rest of the facial is soo relaxing that I put up with it. They basically allow your pores to open completely by leaving a steamer on and then they remove the blackheads. They recommend going back about once every 2 months, which I don't really have the money for!! But, if you exfoliate your face and maybe use a good masque too, at least once a week, this will begin to really help. Good luck with it honey!

there are a few medications that help. They also can do microdermabrasion and some other in office things to help. Ther eis no miracle that mkes them go away and stay away (my nose wishes there was). My mom had been a dermatological RN fo rmany many years.

I say go to a good dermatologist (plus insurance pays for it).

I have the same problem. All over my nose, around my mouth and on my forehead beween my eyebrows. Its really irritating! I sometimes cant handle seeing them, and then i sqeeze them, hoping to get them out, and instead they just turn into big sore red lumps that get infected, and ever time i say "i wont squeeze them again" and what happens, i do it again!
Any advise???

i get them on my nose. i don't know how to prevent it, but to get rid of it: take a towel and soak it in hot water - not too hot, just as much as you can handle, sqeeze out the water and have it sitting over the area for a couple of minutes, then they can be squeezed out very easily.

this seems to work for me, i suppose you would get the same effect from steam, which they would do at a facial, or if you held your head over bowl of hot water whith a towel over your head.

the only thing that has really worked for me is nutrogena facewash/ mask! if you use it as a mask you leave it on for 5 mintes and wash with warm water. they do come back though, but my face looks nice and clean after I use it.

For a while I used facical strips for Biore, and it really seemed to work. They wouldn't stay away, of course, but it's so great knowing you just pulled that disgusting gunk from the inside of your face...::shudder:: Anyway, I haven't had the $ to buy them recently, but I'm hoping that changes, because they really empty your pores.

I bought this littlw tool from twizzerman that pops pimples on one end and squeezes blackheads on the other. I LOVE IT!!!!! I also get these little white spots on my cheeks where dirt is trapped and this little tool pops it right out. Its great. Cost about $12.

you should be able to find at any wallgreens, or cvs, i think i got mine from Bed Bath & Beyond.

Best mask on the planet: Queen Helen Mint Julep Masque

LOL you look like the ogres from Shrek when you apply it, but routine use shrinks your pores and blackheads become less frequent and much less noticeable. Warning though, it is very strong the first couple of times you use it -- kinda feels good, kinda hurts. Now it just feels good
