DH and I were approached by someone at church about someone they know who wants to give her baby up for adoption. She thought of us immediately. Problem? I just found out I'm pregnant. The babies would both be due VERY close together. A month ago we'd have jumped at the opportunity to adopt again, but now we just don't know. Can we handle both???

If you think you could virtually handle twins then I say go for it as well
Good Luck!

I agree, I would jump as high as I could. Right now we would love the opportunity. We have talked about something like this situation happening to us, but there are 3 couples in our church who are our age and we are all the youngest.
I say pray about it and see what happens.

If you look at your heart, you will know what to do, what is best for you, dh, your new baby, and the baby that would be adopted. If something just doesn't feel right, follow your feelings and let the girl at church know that something just doesn't feel right about it. Pray about it and God will help you know.

Don't do it if you feel obligated. If you planned on having a big family or if you wanted to have a 3rd, why not do it all at once? Good Luck with whichever decision you make.

There are alot of people who would give that baby an excellent home, so like above mentioned dont feel obligated.
If you are okay with the babies being so close GO FOR IT ! Its the opportunity of a life time for you
Good luck !

A lady I used to work with ended up adopting two children very close together in age and things went very well (I think about 4 months apart). They were on a waiting list to adopt from Korea and then had an opportunity to adopt locally as well. Both children are grown now-she said it was obviously like having twins! Good luck with your decision.
You have to follow your heart. Please don't do it if you're unsure, like it has been said before, there are plenty people willing to give the baby a great home. Having said that, I too would jump at the chance. Congratulations, and good luck with what ever you decide.
