Default What would you recommend for BC?

I'm PG with #3...I'm kind of conflicted, though. DH says it's our last (which is what he said with DD lol), but I want to have the option should we decide to have oine more in the future...

A bit of history:

~DD was conceived after ONE TIME without a condom...we were faithfully using them up until that point.

~I'm HORRIBLE at taking pills.

~I have had the copper IUD, and thus I'm pregnant again lol...I won't do another IUD.

~I want something that won't affect my sex drive...I'm already on antidepressants. The drive is there still, but not as strong, and it's difficult for me in that department when the time comes for sex.

~I am unsure as to whether I want something so permanent as having my tubes tied. I'd actually like some feedback from those who have had theirs done.

~I've heard nothing but horror stories with Depo...a girl I worked with got PG with TWINS on Depo lol.

So basically, something I don't have to really worry about, something that's easy to remember, with a high success rate, and no chance of saying "Meh, I don't want to wear one tonight" lol. I know the IUD meets all of this criteria, but that was TOO MUCH pain to go through only to get PG a few months later! I'll not do that again!

TIA!!!

I really don't have any advice. I take Yasmin and it has been great for me with PCOS symptoms. Of course there is no way I am going to get pregnant since I am very single. (Don't even have a boyfriend). However, if you don't want to take pills this would not be a good choice for you. Can't you get a birth control shot? I think I have heard of this before, but I don't know how effective it is, or what it would be called.

I really just wanted to tell you that I have a friend who got pregnant while using and IUD. She was very angry when her doctor told her she was pregnant and she told him she wanted a second opinion!

Well, if BCPs aren't a good option for you, I'm not sure what I would recommend. There's the patch, but I was told it's slightly less safe that other hormonal contraceptives because it increases risk of blood clotting more. Have you considered Norplant? I don't know much about it but I've never heard anything terrible.

If you were open to trying BCPs, I would recommend Seasonale, personally.
