Unhappy What Is Wrong With Me?

Hi all,

I've been MIA for a while and just now coming back. Well, I've been so down and depressed the past few weeks, and I don't know what to do. I have a hard time even getting out of bed, or leaving the house. My marraige is suffering because of it too. Any suggestions of what I can do? I have no insurance or job, so going to see someone isn't an option for me. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Im in Australia where normally you would go to your GP and they would refer you to someone - I don't understand the insurance thing in America unfortunately.
But I wanted to give you hugs. I would suggest you try not to isolate yourself. Use this forum. Post whatever you are thinking or feeling until someone answers - someone always does.
Is there no free service to talk to anyone about your depression? Or even a discounted service for unemployed/concessional?
Could you go to a library or community health centre & get some information on managing depression? There are different methods to try to help you overcome depression without using meds/
Look at your depression as a disease and be assertive about getting some help and trying to beat it. Don't beat yourself up over it, beat that nasty disease.

Honey I know exactly how you feel, I myself have no insurance, my job is part time and I can't see anyone either, do they have like a state-funded free insurance thing? that's what I applied for hopefully I'll get it, maybe you should check it out, I know that they help you pay for your medical bills and stuff. We all need a little help sometimes I wish the best for you good luck
