Exclamation What is wrong with me???

I've known about my PCOS since I turned 14 (I'm turning 23 soon), been on/off the pill since then (I haven't been on the pill since last year). My cycle has been pretty regular since I stopped taking the pill (every 30-31 days).

I was sexually active until about a month ago (always protected), since I don't know what's wrong with me: My last menstruation was on 07/24/2007, I have a hard time falling asleep and when I finally do my sleep is restless.... my breasts appear to be bigger and tender.... nausea that begins in the afternoon.... horrible cramps (constantly feel that I'm about to get my period)..... can't stop eating chocolate.... spells of dizziness....

Since diabetes runs in my family, my doc asked me to do a blood test for that, and it looks like I'm fine. He doesn't think that I'm pregnant (neither do I, I don't believe there was any situation that could have allowed that to happen) but he still wanted me to do a blood test for that (will be getting results on tuesday). My doc isn't very responsive and it's kind of frustrating, I don't know if it's because he doesn't know what's going on or he knows what's going on and is expecting ME to figure it out....

To make a long story short, I have period-like symptoms yet have not had a menstruation in what will soon be 2 months, has anyone ever experienced something similar to this??? Any piece of information would be extremely helpful and appreciated!!!

There are several ladies on this board who were using one, if not two or three types of birth control when they got pregnant. Some had even been told they were infertile. Since PMS and pregnancy can share the same symptoms, it could be your body trying to regulate. However, I would recommend you buy a home pregnancy test, just to be sure. If it's negative, you won't be as nervous till Tuesday.

You could also be having a false pregnancy. If so after you take the test your symptoms will probably dissapear. This happens quite frequently to some women, and is hormone related.

What other tests has your doc run? You should have been tested for several things before being given a diagnosis of PCOS.

I didn't add that I've taken 3 HPTs, the first was negative, the second had a very light positive sign, and the last one was negative. So in my mind I don't think that I'm pregnant Plus it's the last thing I need right now so I'm going to stick to what my last test said

Those symptoms COULD be caused by something else, right?

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was younger and the doc that I'm currently seeing wants to run a couple of tests on me next week (we just got the results for my diabetes test, it was called the awakening test or something like that, I had to make sure I didn't eat anything before taking the test that was a series of 5 blood test in a matter of 3 hours - my arms are still killing me because of that, hehe - and it seems like I don't have diabetes) so right now I'm just walking on thin ice, I don't know what's going on but it seems like when I do find out, the ice is going to break and it's not going to be very pretty :S

A positive sign could mean you could have had an early misscarriage. Usually positive means positive. Sometimes it's an empty sac, as in there was no actual child, the sac just developed a while and there was nothing inside so your body lets that tissue pass. A sick stomach can be anything from unstable blood sugar levels, to a reaction to medication to a gallbladder problem. The dizzyness could be from blood pressure, blood sugar problems, anxiety, a sinus infection, and a host of other things. The cramps are usually a sign something is going on with your uterus, either your af is trying to start, you have endometriosis, a cyst, fibroids, etc. That could also be a host of things. Cramping pain not around the area you usually have pain during AF could be a problem with the kidneys, etc. Chocolate craving is usaly a mental thing, not an actual physical or hormonal craving, though some disagree on that. Restlessness and tender breasts can be hormone related, which is why many women have those problems when they are expecting AF. Breasts typically do not enlarge at your age unless you are on a medication where that is a side effect, you have gained weight, or you are pregnant. A 1/2 size change would not be astonishing if you are gaining just a bit of weight. It's often the first place some women gain and loose.

Let us know how things turn out with the blood test.

as i mentioned earlier i'm still waiting for my blood test results tomorrow, but i don't know what's going on today

i feel really "out of it," meaning it's 1:15 in the afternoon and i've been wanting to go to sleep since 9am.... caffeine and food aren't doing the job.... i don't feel like talking (thank God i don't interact with many customers over the phone, but i do interact a lot verbally with my coworkers, but i'm too tired to do that today).... i feel like i have a bubble in my head....

still no menstruation, and the weird thing is that my cramps have completely stopped (usually they start in the morning and continue throughout the day) but i feel that my body is VERY relaxed today.... too relaxed, if that's possible!!

Too much caffeine can cause weird feelings. You can actually get caffeine poisoning from way too much caffeine in a day. Be careful with that stuff especially on an empty stomach.

It still could be PMS but with a missed period. Some ladies have those.

so the cramping started coming along by the end of the day but lasted a lot less longer than usual.... right now i feel pretty relaxed other than some pain in my back (i've always had a pretty heavy chest and it usually hurts my back by the end of the day when i lie down, but i'm used to it) but i just wanted to let you know that i had eaten before having some caffeine (i had my regular dose of caffeine for the day and would have liked having some more but i get nervous if i go over my daily limit so i avoided it)

today marks exactly 2 months since my last AF and i've actually started to pray that i will get them back soon (i went to the neigborhood's church yesterday in the afternoon, i guess i do that in moments of desperation )

and tomorrow i will find out for sure that i am not pregnant (i hope ) and my doc will hopefully start telling me what i really need to do to get back on track.....

I'm glad you have a church you can pray at. I don't know what I would do without prayers to God! Have you thought about diet, etc. if you are pregnant? The first months are the most important for a growing baby. Let us know how the test comes out!

So my doc confirmed that I'm not pregnant and wants me to start taking Lybrol.... I haven't done my research on it but he said that if the side effects are too strong then he would make me take something else.... he said that if my current symptoms don't go away we would "figure something out" in 3 weeks....? so we'll see what happens.... doc says that my blood test came out great except for my cholesterol and level of androgens....

my cramping was endless today..... nausea started earlier, i really don't know what's wrong with me, i hope tomorrow will be better

thanks for everything, i really appreciate your responses!!!
