My Mood: Points: 6,863.45 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 6,863.45 | With dd it was definitely her bouncy chair! She would not sleep laying on her back...I think maybe because she was born at 36 weeks and 2 days...not ready to be out of the womb; So I got her a bouncy chair that fully reclined back and swaddled her and she slept just fine...She slept in that for the first 6-7 weeks and then went right to her crib. She hated her bassinet, and being covered up with blankets...in fact she still does not cover up!
Another thing is the thermoscan thermometer. I know you can purchase this at Wal-Mart for around 35 dollars and it is very accurate and wonderful to use...all you do is hold the button and scan their head to get their temp...so very worth the money...we use it all the time! DD hates ear thermometers and she wouldn't hold still long enough for the underarm digital thermometers. So we got this and I love it!

They have it online and in most stores. I think the Fisher price Papasan Infant seat would be the same way too! Once dd got older, around 3-4 months, We had the Fisher price infant to toddler rocker for her...and she loved that, although not to sleep in. She still sits in it and rocks!

In addition to the peri bottle the hospital provides, ask for a bottle of Epifoam. It is a steroid foam that you apply to your stitches after you use the bathroom and clean. I had a 2nd degree tear when I had DD and 4 or 5 stitches. It helped it to heal very quickly and kept it from itching as it healed and the stitched dissolved. I will definitely be asking for more Epifoam if I end up with stitches again this time.

I didn't have any problems
Just so you know its isn't always a problem To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I would just ask them that when you come out of recovery that you want to breastfeed right away. My nurses just did it after they got me situated in the bed and my undies on.
Very wierd feeling to not be able to feel from your boobs down with someone sucking on them....... To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

| I think it starts wearing off pretty quickly though, too. I had a spinal, and by the time I was in recovery (probably about 1 hour, 15 minutes after the c-section started), I was able to wiggle my toes and move my feet, so it really didn't last long.

Our daughter loved sleeping in it for hours at a time we felt kinda guilty for leaving her there so long but didn't dare move her when she was quiet.
Good Luck
