Default What are you doing to gain "healthy" fat or the right type of fat for a baby?

I'm curious to know what anyone/everyone else is doing to try and gain "healthy" fat? If at all.
If not do you think that at your current weight and ttc maybe you should add a pound or two in hopes that it will make the difference, to eith Ovulate on your own or to even have a monthly period?

I'm curious b/c the doc always say you can't have pcos b/c your "thin" but all the test say you do.
The first thing alot of them say to the full shaped women is to lose weight.

I have been reading and researching and everything that I have found points to the also obvious...gain a few pounds if at all possible.

Afm I am starting to change my diet and trying to eat a healthy well balanced diet with more raw veggies and fruit, totally organic and only whole wheat, cutting sugars to the bare min. And a few other things.

oh and I am 5'3 and 115-118 depending on the time of the month...lol

It sounds like you are already at a really good weight for your height - I wouldn't think your weight is preventing you from ovulating. Unfortuneately, for us "thin" cysters, we often need ovulation drugs to get pregnant, because our weight is not causing the problem. I do think it's great that your eating healthier though, that can only be a positive step IMO.

BTW, I'm about 120-125lbs at 5'4, and I personally have no positive impact on my cycles from gaining or losing weight.

Pikachu that is soo crazy how our bodies work.
I responded(O'd) the first round of clomid 50 then nothing.the next 2 rounds of 50.
then I responded to 100 by Oing, then the next round I ended up with my 3 follies turning into 2 lg cyst and 1 small one in my ovary
So needless to say I am tired of the meds already. I have tried soy and am out of solutions to try next. So we are on a break until whenever.

thanks for responding

Skittles – No, I had no pain at all with my HSG. Only a slight bit of pressure as my uterus and fallopian tubes were filling up with the dye. I was given 2 tablets of a prescription strength pain killer (like a stronger advil), so that could have been the reason.

Yup, ttc can become so life consuming – it’s crazy. Strangely though, I became more relaxed the longer I was trying. I just came to realize that it will happen, but I can’t control when it will happen. (I live in Canada so our healthcare system is different… it takes FOREVER to get treatment here - at least the area where I live). As for what I’m doing next, I’m hoping to be able to start a cycle with injectibles in January.

Also… there is a great “thin cysters ttc” thread in the TTC Buddies section of SC, you will find a lot of support there!
