Question What was your bleeding like after D&C?

I had a D&C 2 weeks ago. I bled for about 5 days then it stopped for about 4 days. After that I have days when I have blood tinged mucous...sometimes brown blood, sometimes red blood. It's not a lot...I don't even need to wear a pad, but when I wipe (sorry if TMI ) there is quite a bit of mucous with blood.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? If it does, when will it end?
What was your bleeding like after your D&C?
Maybe I am about to ovulate?

TIA

Cheri

I bled for about a month after my D&C...it was full bleeding, not just spotting. My OB said it was normal (I was carrying quads) & it stopped at just about my follow up appt.

Good Luck & I'm sorry for your m/c{{{{HUGS}}}}

Default Bleeding after D and C

My D and C was on Thursday 8/26; I bled until about Tuesday 8/31. Then I had a follow-up appointment and pelvic exam on 9/2 and bled a little after that (maybe spotted for 2 days or so.) Then I ovulated for possibly the first time in my life without drugs on 9/16. Yippee! I have been charting, and based on previous experience, should start AF on Thursday 9/30. Can't try until about Thanksgiving due to immunizations...how frustrating. Anyway, hope your bleeding has subsided and best of luck to you in the future.

Cheri,

I didn't have a D&C but after delivering Isaac I bled for about a month. When the bleeding finally stopped I still was having mucousy discharge that was blood tinged (mostly brownish but also some pinkish)

My doctor told me this was normal and was just discharge from my cervix as it healed and closed up. It got drier and rubberier as time went on and eventually seemed like rubber cement At about 6 weeks post partum it stopped and then I got my period not long after, and my period was still extremely mucousy that first time.

Hope that helps, if you are concerned, you should call your doctor to ask these questions too.
