today is cycle day 1 for me....had some spotting for a few days but this is my first day of actual flow....its bright red like its supposed to be but kinda gooey if that makes sense? no clots or anything like that, but honestly every time i go to the bathroom i have a flashback of the morning of my m/c even though i know i wasnt preggers this time around its just AF! I was just wondering how long it took people to get back to a cycle after their m/c?

My next Af after m/c was about normal but my ob told me it would be very heavy and crampy but it was not. I m/c at about 6 weeks. It is a very hard think about it. My husband and I have been TTC for about 5 years. My m/c was the day before Thanksgiving 2006. You learn to live with it and accept it but you never forget it.

I've had AF twice since my m/c and the same thing happens to me. I get flashbacks and I feel like I'm reliving it. I think it gets better, or at least I hope so. The first one was really heavy and I had very bad cramps for a number of days which is not typical for me. This past one was much better though.

After my m/c i had a normal AF but everyone is different.

my first af was pretty normal. It was shorter in length than usual, only about 3 days, but there was cramps like before. The first 2 days were heavy flow but I didn't have any clots at all.

I actually had to take prometrium to bring it about. I m/c in June and took meds in Aug to bring it on (I told the dumb dr that it wouldn't show w/o help). Even then it wasn't super heavy or terribly bright in color. I really think my body reabsorbs alot of stuff (lining, follies,...).
I would say that it is normal to have it be thicker than normal because you are probably still shedding some lining that built up during the pg~
I never had another AF after 1/4/08 so i am currently taking 10 days of prometrium to bring it on....will be taking 100mg of clomid 3-7....i am anxious to see what this one is going to be like!

Started AF Monday night and it has been a doozie. Bright red and heavy with some clots and lots of cramping. I have been having to spend a good amount of time with a heat pad on my lower back and a Thermacare heat wrap when we go out.

Mine was super light, just spotting. I wasn't even sure that was it. My Dr. said it probably was. I had a D&C, so maybe there wasn't much left to come out? I think it came 3-4 weeks after m/c.
what was your first Af like post m/c?
