When I was dx, my number was so far above the limit on the test (60.0), they couldn't determine a number. My last number at 6 weeks (last week) was 55.54. I still not feeling better and my helper is leaving in 2 weeks. This summer has been crap.

Wow. I didn't know that it could even go that high. I'm so sorry that you aren't feeling any better. What meds and dosages are you on? You clearly need to have your dosages upped because that number is just outrageous.
My highest was 6.67 but I don't know what it is at currently. I have to go this month to have it rechecked. I feel like poo still, so I don't think mine is where it should be yet. I hope everything works out for you soon.

It takes a long time for a number that high to go down. I wouldn't expect you to feel much better for close to 3-4 months on medication. Plus, your doctor is going to have to adjust your meds every 6-8 weeks maybe 3-4 times before you get regulated. Unfortunately, this thyroid business is slow going.

Gotcha! Yes, it really was that high, but it's because I don't have a thyroid and have to go off my thyroid meds for my annual cancer scans, thus causing my TSH to rocket.
But you want to know something weird? I felt better at a TSH of 111 than I did when the TSH started spiking around 20-30. Less depressed, slept better, and my mind worked better than when it's only slightly elevated (5-10ish). Go figure!
