Default what is your religion quiz

Ok I am not sure what religion I belong too. I found this quiz http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html on the internet on belief.net. I am going to read up on the top 3 religions that they say I fit in to. I am just wondering if it is a good quiz. So if you could take it and tell me if your religion matched the one the quizz says you fit in to.

Thanks

Corinne

I'm kind of surprised that I got Orthodox Quaker as #2... at 98%. Maybe I need to look into it? Everything after #6 is not applicable to me. But Catholicism and Eastern Orthodox do appeal to me.

1. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (100%)
2. Orthodox Quaker (98%)
3. Eastern Orthodox (95%)
4. Roman Catholic (95%)
5. Seventh Day Adventist (87%)
6. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (74%)
7. Islam (71%)
8. Orthodox Judaism (71%)
9. Bah' Faith (59%)
10. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (59%)
(edited out all the others)

Mine was weird. I had a lot of trouble with the questions, maybe I am stupid, but some of them I just couldn't figure out. I am a staunch Catholic though and teach at Sunday school. Odd. I'll just give the top ten.

1. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (100%)
2. Jehovah's Witness (89%)
3. Eastern Orthodox (88%)
4. Roman Catholic (88%)
5. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (86%)
6. Orthodox Judaism (85%)
7. Bahá'í Faith (79%)
8. Islam (76%)
9. Orthodox Quaker (74%)
10. Sikhism (70%)

Tiggamoo-My results were VERY similar to yours also and I am a member of the Church of Christ. I have a friend that is Mormon and we believe VERY different things, so I think this quiz completely missed my faith. I am not sure which answers I gave to have them catagorize me as a Morman.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm kind of glad it wasn't just me. I looked a little bit around that website and it seemed to miss out on what it means to be a member of the church of Christ.

You and me BOTH!

Below are my Top 10 results. I'm Christian, so I'd have to say the survey got me right

(anyone notice how Bahá'í Faith is showing up in a lot of people's top 10? I've never heard of this until the other day, when I passed a Bahá'í Faith place of worship.)

1. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (100%)

Hmm, it's right on for me.

IIRC, Bahá'í faith is kind of a liberal offshoot of Islam, and a relatively new religion. My mom's cousin is a Bahá'í. From what I've read, it's not very similar to Islam, though.

I think it's interesting that Orthodox Judaism and Islam rank the same on mine. (I have NO prob with Jewish folks, BTW.) Why can't we all just get along?

Jainism...interesting...the religion whose adherents often walk around with brooms to brush bugs out of the way? That is one peaceful religion!

1. Islam (100%)
2. Orthodox Judaism (100%)
3. Bahá'í Faith (82%)
4. Reform Judaism (82%)

Though I was raised Catholic it never made it to my list.

DH was raised Baptist and it was waaay low on his.

We compared lists and UU was #3 for both of us. Since it was a "match" we started exploring UU churches in our area and we've recently joined the one we liked best.

So if you ask me -- it's a pretty neat quiz.

A.

I'm Roman Catholic and it was number 4 on my list, so I wasn't too surprised about that. I've never heard of some of the religions that made my list, numbers, 2, 5, and 9

Well here is my list . . . I am also a Roman Catholic - although not staunch - I also had difficulty understanding many of the questions
Here are my results:

1. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (100%)
2. Jehovah's Witness (94%)
3. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (86%)
4. Eastern Orthodox (82%)
5. Roman Catholic (82%)
6. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (79%)
7. Orthodox Quaker (74%)
8. Bahá'í Faith (65%)
9. Orthodox Judaism (63%)
10. Seventh Day Adventist (62%)

After this quiz I am looking into Eastern Orthodox and Liberal Christian Protestants as I think my beliefs may fit better with theses groups than with the RC.
