Hi,
I see the endo in two weeks, he suspects I may have gotten a wrong diagnosis of PCOS 10 years ago. The only number that's truely "off" with my old bloodwork (as far as I can tell) is the testosterone (95). If you don't mine, can you let me know what your total testosterone was/is? Thanks!
My number was 111. That was also my only "off" number for reference. I am now on Metformin and Birth Control and that is helping to control my symptoms.

Hi,
Thanks everyone! It's been confusing to say the least when one doc says you have something and 10 year later another says you may not. I appreciate all of you sharing your numbers for reference.
My last check of testosterone was almost 5 months ago but at the time it was 77.
Update after being on metformin for 7 months my testosterone lowered to 56!! now i am being taken off it to retest in 6 months to see if i even need it..On met my free testosterone was only a bit high at i think 1.6 normal range is .2-1.0 correct me if i am wrong .

Well, I beat you guys on this one. My TT was 188. Not quite sure what it is now as that was last November. I guess it just goes to show how everyone's body is different but I don't have excessive hair whatsoever. Yes, I have also heard that is should be below the 70's range.

I was diagnosed with pcos 3 years ago, I suffer from bad face and body hair, but my endo said my testosterone levels were normal!?
I am on metformin (18 months now) and logynon pill, but the hair is getting no better.
Anyone help, what is causing the hair growth if not testosterone?
