Default Whats the best shop topical facial wash, cleanser etc?

Hi ,

I'm wondering if I can ask all of you which facial wash, cleanser and topical acne treatment to clear existing acne you have found the best? I am buying new products weekly hoping for my skin to clear (that would be a miracle)

I've tried everything from expensive dermalogica to clearasil etc etc etc etc. I'm currently using oxy to wash my face, followed by the cleansing pads they do then moisturise with my usual oil of olay.

Please help caus I'm wasting so much money on pointless products (money I don't have)!

Thanks

rachel

My dermatologist recommended Neutrogena, so that is mostly what I've been using for the past few years, along with Lever 2000 antibacterial bars. Anything that has a non-comedogenic label is safe because it is soap and oil-free.

I would suggest you refrain from over-treating your skin. Sometimes using too many products at once can be counterproductive.

Thumbs up

Definitely Neutrogena! I like the Oil-free Acne wash as a daily product and Clear pore as a mask that I use 2-3 times a week. If your skin is extremely oily then I recommend Clear Pore as your daily wash and mask. They also have oil free moisturizers. Their products work just as well or better than high-end products like Clinque or Este Lauder.

I use Aveeno's Simply Radiant Foaming Face Wash (I think that's the name of it).

My skin is fairly oily and this always leaves it feeling clean but not too dry. It has a nice smell, not chemcially or mediciney.

Thanks for all your advice. I am going to purchase the Mary Kay products Liz recommends, so I will let you know how they go! Hopefully this will be the miracle cure I'm after! rachel
