Default Whats going on?

Have PCOS and not on any medication, last check up was about 1 yr and 6 mths ago
#Hi everyone,JUST WANT TO SHARE WHATS GOING ON WITH ME,IF THIS SOUNDS FAMILIAR TO ANY of you and can give me some advise.
I lived in a really bad situation with a horrible landlady for about 10 months,3 months into the tenancy i relaised she was crazy, she accused me of many things and it came to the point that every week she would have something to bring up and upset my life.Soon i stsarted sleeping with my clothes hanger across my door because of being afraid of her coming in.
Just before January of this year,i started thinking about my past which is 6 years ago and i remember things that ic ant seem to let go of,Almost every day i remember something new and i worry over it for long periods of time.
Now i have a problem going out in public and socializing, taking phone calls, chating with people online etc out of fear that they may tell me something that i may try to forget thinking that i just made it up. Yes i make up things as well, like i would remember say in the past i went to this place and then i would add on to that, that i had an affair with x y or z. i know its not true and am aware of the thoughts when they occurr but sometimes i feel so weak i cant bare the thought and i break down and cry.
When i lie down to sleep at 4 30 every morning i am sleeping and suddenly i remember something, that upsets me so much that i have to wake up,when i try to sleep, thoughts or memories just fill my head and sleeping is impossible after 4 30 in the morning. i go to bed at 10.If anyone has any thoughts or questions.. i may remember what else to add...
Thanks

Dragonfly- I have had the exact same experience. Once my period lasted almost 6 months. I couldn't sleep, would cry and cry, and would sit on the toliet and wipe praying that my period would stop. I definately feel more emotionally stable now that I am on BCP and met.

Kats- It sounds like you really need some help controlling your symptoms. Have you sought help with a therapist or talked to your MD about PCOS meds? Having a fear of going out in public sounds like you have developed agoraphobia (potentially). I would seek help for that as soon as possible. Good luck to you hon.

I am going to go see a Doctor here and get onto a PCOS specialist.
After i got married 6yrs ago my social life got completely cut off,all i did was talk to people on the phone and online.I had moved to a new country and the only person i knew was my doctor. for 4 yrs,i am now in Canada and have somewhat of a social life but i am a stay at home mom.My husband thinks i 'should find something to do' and i try to keep busy and leave the house, but the fear is always there as i am about to leave to while i am out to when i get back home.the fear that i will do something and not remember, which as i write this does not makes sense, but when i am going through it it s so over whelming.

Dear Kat,
Try not to fret about it. There are so many behavioral techniques that can help you successfully overcome your anxiety. There are many good books out there on anxiety. If you have trouble leaving the house maybe a workbook would work well for you (such as The Anxiety & Phobia Workbook (Paperback)) if you are easily self motivated. If not I would definately recommend seeing a cognitive behavioral therapist or any other type of practitioner that can help you with your anxiety. If your hormones are still imbalanced, nothing will help until you are on meds to help balance them. You seem really close to your MD so I am thinking he is most likely montioring this for you. Good luck!

Hi bluefox
I went yesterday to my GP and we are starting over with blood works that i had done today. He says if things are still imbalanced, then we will manage it.
When i got diagnosed in Ireland they did not do a ultra sound scan,so am getting one done, hopefully i get an appointment soon.
I am trying with the anxiety,i keep reminding myself that i am safe where ever i am and it kind of works on some days, while am out when i get home if i hit a low point then everything worries me n i break down.Writing about this is helping me to realize more that's its a cycle that keeps repeating itself and its all in my head.
Thanks
