Unhappy whats wrong with my bladder?

Ok this is going to be a long one!

When i was in grades 6-8th i was having lots of issues with my bladder..peeing a lot and my bladder not emptying all the way and as i would get stressed it would get worse. They gave me meds to take but i would get stressed because i would want them to work right away. also was taking to hospital once for being dehydrated cause i thought ou know well if i stop drinking i wont have to pee so much...bad mistake! i was in a lot of pain! well eventually my 7th grade yr i went in and had surgery...cystoscopy?? with a camera and they stretched my bladder and since i have gotten older and my routine is the same and not so many changes going on i am ok. like probs with school, or someone is sick, etc i worry. I am one to worry and stress a lot and it brings on probs with bladder..urinating frequently but not totally emptying bladder just feels like i have to go and then cant.
I some probs in HS too but then it was like i grew out of it.

Now here i am again... i am having to go frequently, waking up in the morning sore and having to pee and then feeling cramped. but i know i dont save it so i dont have to get up in the middle of the night. because i am getting up 2-3 times a night. sometimes i go to bed at 11 and wake up at 7-8?
I dont feel stressed at all and i dont understand whats wrong. i have had symptoms of a yeast infections about a month ago and just took some creams and yogurt etc and am fine now. I know I have alway had some sort of issue with bladder. I hate going to drs specially for bladder because of all the tests i had to do when i was younger and i get so tense when having to go in. Any ideas as to what this could be? could i need my bladder stretched again?

ty in advance, Sarah

sorry for grammer and spelling, i am in a hurry due to having to work soon so, please forgive me.

Well, I have bladder issues too, had them since high school and I have seen soooooo many doctors. The most recent visit I had was w/a new urologist and he said it seems like I have Interstitial Cystitis, which is when you feel like you have to pee all the time. It's like your bladder contracts inside (not overactive bladder though..that's different) and put me on an antibiotic called Nitrofurantoin that I take everyday, and a medicine called Naproxm which is supposed to help the contracting. But, sometimes my symptoms change which is why I thought it was all in my head. Now that I know my left ovary is right on top of my bladder I am thinking it's just irritated from my ovary, but am not sure. Did I help at all? I would ask to try some meds like that.

I have had bladder issues to since highschool. At my most recent appt. the doctor told me he thinks I have Interstitial Cystitis which makes you feel like you have to pee all the time (I get up 6-7 times per night) and sometimes, you can't go. He gave me an antibiotic that I take everyday (Nitrofurantoin) to keep bacteria out of my urinary tract and a muscle-relaxer called Naproxem. I would give those a try! HOpe you feel better soon....

Thank you so much amy for reply to my post!
I have heard of Interstitial Cystitis and did some searching on it. I see some of the same symptoms of it in me. I am now starting tonight everytime i go pee so i can actually see how many times. I do know it is a lot more than 8 times in a 24 hr period!! The muscle relaxer you take thats to relax the bladder? does it make you groggy or like your on pain killers with the side effects?

thanks again so much,sarah

Saralee, Yw!! No, they don't make you feel any different only because the medicine goes only in your urinary tract and bladder, not throughout your whole body. I think i've got you beat, I go once every 45 minutes......LOL

For years I've always been needing the loo SO often, it becomes embarrassing at work getting up all the time to visit the toilet! As soon as I've been I need to go again literally 5 mins later, if that! Anyway, I've been asking the doctor about it for ages & they always say nothing is wrong. Now my sister is having tests for PCOS and the last year or so she's had the same pee problems so it makes me wonder if it's related....
