My question is this, I am just getting ready to finish my period this month and want to know when to start taking the metformin or does it matter?

It's kind of a domino effect: Metformin makes your body more responsive to insulin, your body makes less insulin because what it has is doing the job, the lower levels of insulin let your estrogen-related hormones get back to normal and do their thing.

Good luck with it!
