Default When can I test?

Hello ladies, I suffered my first miscarriage at the beginning of December. I waited until Dec. 20th and had not miscarried naturally and so I had a D & C. I had 8 days of super light bleeding (only when I went to the bathroom) and no pain. I had my follow up on Jan. 10th and OB gave us green light to TTC again.

I decided to take an ovulation test Jan. 11th as I just didn't feel right (I have never ovulated on my own). The test line was WAY darker than the control line and it was like this Thursday afternoon, night and Friday afternoon. I took a pregnancy test on the 12th to make sure that the HCG was out of my system and it was negative so I know the OPK wasn't positive because of HCG. So DH and I BD's several times over the next couple of days, using pre-seed (I love it, that's what worked for us the first time).

I have been having a few symptoms lately, having to pee all of the time, extreme tiredness, sore BBs. My question is, when can I test and be confident that I am not testing too early?

Baby dust to you all!

Jen

Hi Jen

I would wait until 7-5 days before you expect and AF. Otherwise it won't come up pos and your just throwing your money down the drain. I can get really nuts over testing and testing....it just dosen't do any good! Good Luck....and lots of baby dust!

I would wait until the end of this week at the earliest. On average (and we know we PCOS'rs are anything but!), women ovulate (if they're going to) around 3 weeks following a D&C. Add 14 days to that and then another week for good measure. Good luck!

Hello ladies, still no AF and I am obsessing on when I can test. The problem is, I have not had AF after my light bleeding from D & C, which ended December 28th a week and 1 day after actual D & C. Do I just assume I am going to start 2 weeks after my ++ OPK? This is driving me crazy, I won't be too upset if this is not our month as I know it's very rare to get pregnant the 1st month after D & C. If I am not pregnant, I just want AF to start so I can get back on regular cycles. Today is 5 weeks post D & C and the doctor was hoping if I stayed on Metformin throughout that it would help me keep a fairly regular cycle.

OB told me that if I don't start by Feb. 8th to take HPT and call them either way, but I know I can't wait that long.............UGGGHHHH this is so frustrating! For those of you that have had a D & C, did you stay on Metformin and if you did, how long after your D & C did you start? Did you have AF symptoms several weeks before you started? I have been having symptoms; having to pee all of the time, very tired, BB a little sore. I am so confused?!?
