Just for my info doing a poll. I was wondering when ladies taking clomid o'd. Please let me know what cycle day you started your clomid and then what day you o'd. Thanks so much for the input.

There is some preliminary research that indicates that an earlier start date may result in more pregnancies, but most gynecologists continue to prescribe it for days 5-9. One recent study (Biljan et al, cited below) actually tried prescribing Clomid on cycle days 1-5. While none of the participants in their day 5-9 group resulted in pregnancy, 24 percent of the women who took Clomid on days 1-5 were able to conceive.

I took clomid on CD 5-9, O'd on CD 16 and ended up pregnant. I think I must be one of the odd ones because when I took it on CD 3-7 I O'd later (no pregnancy). I was able to get pregnant several other times while taking it on CD 5-9, but lost all of them early on. We're hoping this one sticks.

Thanks for the post! I was wondering the same thing. I am taking my first round of Clomid and have no clue when I will O. Again thanks for the post. I will be sure to fill out the poll when I know!

I am on my first round of clomid right now also. This is why I am so curious. I want to make sure to do things right. I got an OPK and wanted to make sure what day to start using it. I see you started your clomid on the 17th. So did I. Keep me informed on how things are going for you.

Jen&Christine~~I start 50mg of Clomid in 4 days (today is cd1)And I'm glad this thread was started.I am very curious to know about "o" time.I am temping but I was told Clomid throws your temps off,So How are we supposed to know when we O'ed???Let's hope the "Clomid using cysters" reply and we all get a better understanding..Babydust...Kim
Hi all, this is a great thread. I am also on my 1st round of clomid 50mg days 5-9 and I'm on cd 16. I have no idea if I have O'd but very hopeful. I started using OPK's on cd 11. They have all been neg. and inconsistant in color. But I have also read some research that suggests that results may not be reliable with OPK's while using fertility meds. or are dx'd w/ PCOS. So I am not relying on them to much. Just wondering if anyone knows any more info. on OPK's? Good luck to us!
