I started taking 1000 mg of Cinnamon daily a few weeks ago, as I have some IR (blood test was 15 on a 12 hour fast) and most of you ladies seemed to be raving about the effects on your weight and such...
...but it seems like it hasn't really done much after almost a month. All it did was stamp out my carb cravings and that's been rough since I'm used to eating carbs all the time (without the cravings, I basically lost my whole appetite).
I noticed I seem to have a lot more muscle in my arms, but that's mostly because I've been taking a pottery class and working every day. Otherwise I seem to still be bloated. I had set a goal to lose at least a couple lbs. by Thanksgiving and now I'm kicking myself for it, even though it seemed totally feasible.
I see a lot of "I lost weight without even trying!" and it feels like that should be my experience too...I don't have a car so I walk miles every day between classes and errands, most of my classes involve physical work, etc.
Should I wait much longer before feeling really discouraged? Should I try raising my dosage? My IR isn't even that pronounced, but I know that's what's causing this, considering I look about 5 months pregnant when I don't keep my stomach sucked in.
