Default When did you see results?

I started taking 1000 mg of Cinnamon daily a few weeks ago, as I have some IR (blood test was 15 on a 12 hour fast) and most of you ladies seemed to be raving about the effects on your weight and such...

...but it seems like it hasn't really done much after almost a month. All it did was stamp out my carb cravings and that's been rough since I'm used to eating carbs all the time (without the cravings, I basically lost my whole appetite).

I noticed I seem to have a lot more muscle in my arms, but that's mostly because I've been taking a pottery class and working every day. Otherwise I seem to still be bloated. I had set a goal to lose at least a couple lbs. by Thanksgiving and now I'm kicking myself for it, even though it seemed totally feasible.

I see a lot of "I lost weight without even trying!" and it feels like that should be my experience too...I don't have a car so I walk miles every day between classes and errands, most of my classes involve physical work, etc.

Should I wait much longer before feeling really discouraged? Should I try raising my dosage? My IR isn't even that pronounced, but I know that's what's causing this, considering I look about 5 months pregnant when I don't keep my stomach sucked in.

I was taking 1000mg of Cinnamon the first 2 weeks I started and didnt see much of a change. I was still craving carbs and such so I upped it to 1500mg just to see. Im not sure if upping the dosage helped but after another 2 weeks I noticed I didnt get super sleepy after eating dinner like I ALWAYS do. I mean, I would go to sleep after eating SO often that it wasn't even me who realized I wasn't tired... it was my DB who realized.
He turned to me one night after dinner and was like "Arent you going to sleep?" And I sharply answered "NO?! Why would you say that?" Then I realized that I *did* go to sleep nearly every night after I ate. But ever since I started 1500mg Cinnamon I didnt feel the carb crashes anymore
So that's when I truly noticed it was doing something for me.. about 3-4 weeks after I started taking it
I really dont think Ive lost any weight although I ~feel~ skinnier if that makes sense lmao. PCOS has an affect on your body to where the fat centralizes in your midsection... making you appear pregnant. I have that problem also especially if I put on a pair of tight jeans.. makes me look horribly pregnant

Maybe you should up your dosage.. 1000mg is nothing compared to what I see some cysters taking up to 3000mg a day. Personally I would never go over 2000mg in a day. If you start feeling dizzy after not eating for a while you should watch out though. Dont let your blood sugars get TOO low. Even the cinnamon studies say that just 1/2 tsp of Cinnamon a day showed significant improvement in IR and cholesterol numbers.

as for me at first i did notice a slight weight loss but i only weighed myself that one time. the main thing ive noticed is that the craving for sweet stuff is not nearly as bad as it use to be. i think its just a trial and error type of thing~change your dosage and see if that works for you. i started out at 1000mg and upped it to 1500mg(when i take it). i can tell the difference when i dont take it i feel like i might choke someone for something sweet.
