Okay, Hopefully i am pregnant right now and don't have to worry about this but just in case i figured that i should ask. I took femera, Bravelle, and Ovidrel this cycle. Because of insurance reasons i can not do another cycle right now. So i think that i am going to try Vitex however if i were to start af should i start this cycle or wait a month? And when do you take the vitex, daily, certain days of your cycle, or ?

My herbalist has me taking it every day of my cycle until it's clear that I've O'd, which means I usually stop it on the 3rd day of my temp shift. And then I resume taking it the day AF arrives.

In terms of dose, you kind of have to figure out what works for you. Initially, I was on 1200mg a day: 1 capsule in the morning, and 2 right before bed. But, my cycles have been regular (a steady 33 days) with O for 6 months now, so she's cut me down to 800mg - just the 2 capsules before bed.

Of course, I'm also taking 550mg of dong quai and a prenatal with that.

I am taking Vitex daily.. throughout the entire cycle.. s of right now I'm not ovulating so I can't stop then...from what I understand that is ok.. but you shouldn't take it during pregnancy.. I started mid cycle as it had been awhile since I had AF visit...
