when did your dr. give you the go to have intercourse again?

Im just wondering when the dr. approved intercourse again? Im not really up to it right yet but DBF is getting impatient. Also for those of you trying to concieve again after m/c did you use any protection right away or not? For those of you who did was it a condom or bc pills?

Hi,

My doc wanted us to wait 6 weeks before having relations (we did it sooner than that...I don't recommend that, but for me I just really needed to be as close as I could to DH, and that is about as close as you can get) ...and he wanted at least 2 AF's before trying again. No protection, we never use it. I had my first AF with Natural Progesteron Cream...waiting for AF #2 now.

I had a follow up appt 2 weeks after my D&C and dr gave me the go ahead at that time - since everything was healing nicely.

Dr wants us to wait 2 AF's as well before TTC again - he gave me some info that if I got pg before that time could end up in a m/c. So we decided we didn't want to take any chances and are using condomns until then - just in case I O but I highly doubt it.

I had a follow up appointment after my D&C, they just told me "when the spotting has ended and you are emotionally ready." I think we waited another week or two after the spotting stopped.

We had to wait 3 months to TTC again, because I had to get an MMR immunization at the time of my D&C. I continued to temp / chart during that time (stayed on Metformin) and we used condoms...
