Default When do I get my period from Prometrium?

My doctor gave me Prometrium for 10 days. I am also on Met 2000mg (for 8 mos). I just finished my last pill of Prometrium on Wednesday night. Do I get AF right away? Or does it take a lil bit to get it? I am confused, anyways have any experiences? I really need my period since I havent had one since May. When I took Provera before I had my period w/in 7 days of taking it. SO I don't know if Prometrium is just slower. Thanks!!

Default Prometrium

I think it took about 10 days for me to get my period after Prometrium. It's been about a year, though. I'll go back through a calendar and try to figure it out if you like...

If its not a lot of trouble, I would appreciate, just to see how others reacted from it. You are a thincyster too? I like to hear people's experiences. Are you having a period now regular? Yeah I guess Promtrium takes a little longer than Provera. I hope it comes, I get scared because since I haven't had one for a while, I am kind of looking forward to it ( which most girls wouldn't). Good luck w/ the clomid/met combo too. Thanks

Default Prometrium

Hello - I checked my records from last year. I started Prometrium on 9/10 and began "Aunt Flo" on 9/20, so I must have taken it 10 days in total. I think the progesterone in Prometrium tricks your body into thinking that it is in the luteal phase, which ranges from 10 to 14 days in most women (mine is 12 days when I'm regular, which has only been on Clomid so far!)

Yes, I would be considered a "lean" cyster - I am 5 foot 5 and weigh about 130. The lowest I've ever weighed was 115 but that was too thin for my bone structure. I don't have any other symptoms of PCOS, other than very irregular periods (when not on the pill) and no ovulation that I'm aware of. I started charting in December and didn't ovulate until April when I took Clomid. I did respond to the Clomid, but didn't get PG until I added Metformin to the mix. I got PG in June, miscarried in August, and part of me wonders if I should have kept taking Metformin thru my pregnancy...I WILL take it thru my pregnancy if I am lucky enough to have a "next time". After my D and C on 8/26, I ovulated naturally (without drugs!) and started the Metformin again the day after I ovulated. I got AF 11 days after I ovulated and my body is currently on Day 11, and there are signs that it's getting ready to ovulate again. It drives me nuts that we can't try to conceive until next month (because of my measles/mumps/rubella immunization!)

Let me know if you have other questions, I'll help however I can!
