Hi ladies, newish here but have been checking in for a while now. I am a thin PCOSer, not super thin but normal weight.
As per my profile, I've tried the initial preliminary treatments to get pregnant.
I am currently in my 2ww after my second cycle of injectables, but I'm fairly confident it is not successful b/c I'm spotting - yuck.
Anyway, considering IVF, maybe next month because I have time off from work.
What are you thoughts on moving onto IVF right away? Would you take a break to let your body 'rest'? I'm not sure what I should do...
Thanks for your help
Maria

I'd definitely try out Met first. I don't know a lot about IVF but it sounds pretty expensive and invasive. Met doesnt' work for everyone (it's been my wonder drug though) but its inexpensive and uninvasive. You can also use it with other treatments as well which might increase your chance. Good luck!
i am on my 1st round of injectables, but if we can't safely stim then my RE wants me to move onto IVF. cost not being a factor, i would definitely move on to IVF. i also think you have to take you age into account and the amount of time you are willing to continue TTC. i'll be 34 in july and i certainly have a few more reproductive years, but i am also well aware that it is not going to get any easier, so i want to be aggressive. let's face it your odds are much better with IVF, so if you can afford it then go for it.
I am about to be in the 2WW after TTC#3 for 6 months. I was on 5mg femara, but it stopped working, so I'm on the 2nd month of 100mg clomid. I have my IUI tomorrow, right after my consult for IVF. If I don't conceive this month, I want to try IVF next cycle. My insurance covers it, and I'm sick of this emotional/physical ride, and I want to get aggressive, so I can just conceive already, have my baby, have my family complete, and close this book of TTC for good. From what I have researched, IVF is very involved, so I am scared, but whatever it takes to get on with it is how I feel at this point.

Relka does have a good point about age... i can understand her wanting to get started sooner rather than later. I'm still a fan of met, but you'll have to decide how long you can wait.
