So, I am on day 35 for my cycle, 1.5 months into taking met, and nothing! 2 weeks into met, I had small spotting for 4 days, don't know what that was but I am still not seeing anything. Am I just too hopeful for this to work or am I just broken?

Sorry, I can't really help ya, I am wondering that too. I haven't had AF visit in about 8 months now and just started Met less than a month ago. Anxiously waiting for her to come (Ha, NEVER thought I would say that!!)

It took 42 days of 500mgs of met for me to start, but of course, every woman is different.

I started on 1000 mg of MET on 2/25. Got AF on 3/21. So it took almost four weeks for AF to finally show up. I am excited - this is the first time in almost 7 months.

First month off BCP....42day cycle....started taking Met (total 1000mg) on day 34. Not sure if met brought it on or not...I am staying off of the BCP to see what Met does to my cycles by itself (I have not been off of BCP in 4 years)

Don't know but it sure is frustrating. I had spotting for about 4 days too but no AF. I think I am going to increase my dose up to 2000. Several girls on here told me that is what it took.

I know exactly how you guys feel. Just when my husband and I decided to have a baby...my periods STOPPED all of a sudden. So, I waited n waited for almost 3 months without getting my periods and then i went to a Gynec...did some blood tests...apparently i have Hypothyroid...so started taking Synthroid...1 month later I got my period...and then I was told to also go to an Endocrinologist...did some more tests..she said I also have PCOS

This is my fourth week on Fortamet now....I should either be PREGNANT by now or get my periods by the end of this week. I AM PRAYING TO GOD THAT I'M PREGNANT!!!

I'm glad I have you guys to VENT...makes me feel as if I'm not alone...

Thanks for everyone's SUPPORT!!!!

I started Met just over three weeks ago. I started Provera at the same time for 10 days so I could start on BCP and got AF on the last day. However, I haven't stopped bleeding since! The first week was HEAVY, but now it's light - a bit more than spotting. Due to Met? or BCP?
