When does your AF come during the inactive pill week?
Hello Ladies!
I hope I'm not jumping to conclusions fast but I am currently on birth control so that I can be regular for my IVF cycle in March. I have been taking desogen since day 5 of my cycle. Since the doctors told me to start taking it them on that day. Now I am in the 4th week which is the inactive pill week and I took the 3rd inactive pill today and still no sign of AF. Should I be worried and does it sometimes take longer to get your period. I was under the impression your period starts on the 1st or 2nd day of the inactive pills.
On my old pills I would start about day 2 of inactive, but on my new bcp's I don't start until late on day 4 or early 5.

When I was on BCPs (OrthoTriCyclen) I never started on the first day of inactive, and sometimes only had one day of very light bleeding and a day of spotting and that was it for AF. No "real" flow. I think, but can't be positive, that it usually came on day 4 or so of the inactives.
GOOD LUCK!

I take Apri (generic desogen) and mine starts usually on day five.
When it does start, it consists of 2 or 3 days of brown discharge, 3 or 4 days of actual blood flow (at least 2 of which are heavy with lots of cramping), and then 2 or 3 more days of brown discharge.
I hate that my period lasts that long, although I guess it's better than going 5 years without a period like I did before I went on the pill.
