Misty. Get to an RE. Even without insurance, IUI's aren't that expensive. My RE does package deals since my company insurance does not cover anything in a IUI cycle. So this cycle is costing us $375 for the u/s, blood work, sperm wash and IUI. I am sure there are other docs that would rx clomid and get you on a good treatment plan.

Good luck!

I would have to agree that you need a new dr. An RE is ideal but if you can't find one in the area, call around and speak to nurses and find out if there is an OB/GYN who has an interest in PCOS. Yes, it can get expensive but think about how much having a child sooner rather than later is worth.

I have to agree 100%. Even if you are going to an RE, if they aren't knowledgeable about PCOS, you need a new doctor. My OBGYN referred me out after 4 Clomid cycles because he felt that I needed to see an RE who specialized in dealing with the issues that go with PCOS patients. I'm glad he referred me out, they're working to fix me one little bit at a time.
