I've been reading alot of info about FUR being really helpful for fertility. I have managed to get ahold of some in capsule/tablet form but am wondering when I should take them. Is it only prior to ovulation or after ovulation as well?. Should I wait until CD5 to take them or can they be taken from CD1?.

I have read about how good False Unicorn root is for fertility issues but I have not read anything specific about when to take it. If 'I' was going to use it myself I would take it throughout my whole cycle and I would start it at anytime during the cycle.

Everything I have read so far indicates that you should take day 1-(5?) off. Depending on how long your AF is. I know that when I had FUR, I took it from day 5 on. I took it when I was pregnant (then m/c) because it is supposed to help with preventing a m/c. I like to check out info on "www.onna.org".

I was getting ready to start taking FUR but havn't gotten a cycle yet. I went off all meds in June and have been taking Vitex. If I havn't gotten af on my own yet should I wait to start taking FUR until I do?

Kym,
I read somewhere where it was suggested not to take herbs during your period to "cleanse" the body. I think this was at tryingtoconceive.com, but I am not sure. I haven't ever read that it is harmful to take them starting with day one. I guess it may just be personal preference.

Just wondering where you got FUR in tablet form? I have the tincture and have been looking for tablets for a while now.

Thanks for your advice and BTW I didn't start the FUR until CD4 so that's one good thing I suppose. As for where I bought the FUR - I'm in Australia (dont know where you are from) and I managed to pick it up in a discount vitamin store of all places. Mind you I did search through quite a few stores before I found it. HTH
