When to start Clomid? What is considered day one?

Hey!!! I am on Prometrium for 12 days to induce an AF then I am supposed to start Clomid for the first time. I am on the 9th day and I started spotting yesterday and I am bleeding (TMI) clot-like blood today. I have had to used two tampons today. Is this considered day one of my cycle or should I wait until it is really heavy? It isn't like SUPER heavy, but it's enough to have to use a pad or normal-flow tampon. I think I should consider it day one but I want to be certain so I start the Clomid on the right day of bleeding (I am taking it days 3-7.) Thanks for any responses!! I appreciate it!

p.s. Also, because I am on day 9 and have started bleeding should I just stop the Prometrium or finish out the 12 days? I know that I shouldn't take it while ON Clomid...

I can't tell you about the Prometrium. But I can tell you that your first cycle day is the first day of red flow. Whether it is little or heavy. As long as it is a red flow (not spotting).

Day 1 should be the day when there's a steady enough flow that you don't mistake it for spotting. If you can use a pad or normal flow tampon, then yes, that's Day 1. Good luck!
