I have been taking vitek twice a day since 9/11. Got af on 10/4 (yay!) and think I o'd over the weekend (another yay!). This vitek has been great!
My question is this....when are you supposed to stop taking vitek? I know that pregnant women shouldn't take vitek and one article I read even suggested that women who were ttc not take it--they never gave a reason why just said don't take it. I've looked for the answer to my question and haven't been able to find it....
So, let's say this was my month and I get pregnant (don't hold your breath). When am I to stop with the vitek? If I am not pregnant, I am going to stop cds 1-5 for a rest and then resume same dosage, along with adding false unicorn root.

cds, is that clomid days? I would NOT suggest taking ANY herbs when on conventional meds. You should decide one way or the other, it could cause more problems than you hope to solve, but if you are ttc naturally, you would take vitex from the last day of af until day one of af or positive hpt/bt. Does that help at all?
(actually, it doesn't sound like clomid days, but what does the cds stand for? Brain freeze and a thaw is not likely in the next couple of days )

I have done a lot of research on the Vitex. And what I have heard is that is relativly safe thing to take when Pg. So those 2-3 weeks of pregnancy until you found out you are pg, you can take it. No harm will happen. And after that just stop it. If it would be harmful for the baby it would be stated not to use after ovulation.

Paigettie, just so you know, I am not taking any clomid ever again, so long as I can absolutely help it....it does extremely evil things to my disposition...dh can't handle me taking it anymore either
