Unhappy When will it end

I have been taking Metformin for about 2 weeks now and this week I went from 1 pill a day to two a day. Eventually I will get up to 4 pills a day and I want to know if the nausea will ever end? I am not sure that I can handle feeling sick for to long.

for MOST it definantly does in. I only have nausea flare ups every now and again. It took about one month for ALL of the s/e effects to subside. But for me, the Pros have SO outweighed the s/e. good luck

For most, I have heard that it does. For me, it didn't. I think it just depends. I was on it for 3 months and I couldn't take it anymore.

Like the pp the se never did end for me I never could get my dose past 500mg without becoming dehydrated. But I am now on the extended release and have had little or no se and I am now up to 1000mg so if you arent on the extended release maybe it will work better for you. Good Luck!!

Oh! Hang in there! I know it can be rough, but it gets better. I was nauseas at first and had random bouts of diarrhea as well. My side effects weren't nearly as bad as other cyster's, but I had felt drunk and tired for about 2 weeks! It got better after that. I'm not on XR either and take 500mg 3 X day.
