i like taking tinctures because it seems the herb is readily available for the body to use but i really dont like the alcohol base. do any of you cysters know of any websites where i can get tinctures in some other form...or are they only available in an alcohol base??? thanx so much in advance.

Most health food stores will have it in a glycerin base. The glycerin does extract pretty well, but not a well as the alcohol. I think www.mountainroseherbs.com has them in glycerin bases... but lemme check on that.

I buy the alcohol-based tinctures and put the dose I plan to take in a glass to sit over night so that the alcohol will evaporate. That works very well for me.

You can order alcohol-free tinctures from www.trilightherbs.com ... they only deliver within the US ... that's why I haven't tried their products personally ....
