Where do I go from here?

Ok....so my thyroid is wacky after all. Come to find out, 23 of my relatives on my dads side have thyroid disease and 10 have had their thyroid removed.

So, I went to my obgyn today for my lab results and she said it is now set in stone that my thyroid is a definate issue. She's sending me to an endo. And she is also having my thyroid scanned. I know I'm gonna have to be put on meds for this, but I have a few ?'s about it.

1. Is it going to make me gain or lose weight? I've lost 13 lbs in the last month, and I don't want that messed up.

2. When it comes time to think about baby #3, do I have to get off the meds? Do I take the meds when I'm pg?

3. My AF is usually 50-60 days apart, now I bleed for 2 wks every month. She said it's from my thyroid. Is this true? Will it regulate with the thyroid meds?
