I have some questions but I'm looking for support too. I miscarried on November 4th, I have the go ahead to have sex again. I'm not on any birth control. I've never had regular periods.
1. How long does it take to have a period after a natural miscarriage?
2. How long does it take to ovulate again?
3. How long should I wait to TTC?
4. How do I start the TTC rollercoaster again?
Any advice would be helpful. I feel like I'm ready to try again but I'm so scared to. Help?

I am so sorry about your miscarriage. I hope that you'll find some sort of peace one of these days. ((hugs)))
Here are my answers to your questions:
1. How long does it take to have a period after a natural miscarriage?
I honestly don't know because like you, I've never had regular periods. Both times I miscarried, I asked to be put on the pill to make sure I at least bleed instead of not having a "period" for months.
2. How long does it take to ovulate again?
Some of the women here have ovulated and gotten pregnant off their first periods from a miscarriage.
3. How long should I wait to TTC?
This really is up to you and your DH. My RE told me that we could TTC again as soon as I was ready. In fact, he wanted us to try treatments as soon as I got my period after my last miscarriage in August. DH and I decided to wait.
4. How do I start the TTC rollercoaster again?
You start with babysteps, a little bit of hope and courage, and lots of love from people who love you. It's scary but we all hope to have a peaceful result amidst all this heartache.
PM me if you need someone to "talk" to, okay?

I had a normal period about 1 month after my miscarriage.
My ob/gyn recommended waiting 3 months before ttc again to make sure my body was back to normal and to reduce the risk of another miscarriage.
ttc after a loss is extremely emotional. My advice is to allow yourself time to grieve and heal before ttc again.

So sorry for your loss! Here are some answers but ultimately you and DH have to do what is best for you.
1. How long does it take to have a period after a natural miscarriage?
this really depends on each individual. My dr told me that you should have AF (whether natural m/c or D&C) 4 to 6 weeks after. Well I'm not regular at all and 7 weeks later I still didn't have anything so I had get progesterone shot to bring on AF.
2. How long does it take to ovulate again?
Some as Enits said. There is a friend of mine that got pg just a few weeks after her m/c. There are many stories out there like that that end in healthy pregnancies, yet me dr warned that your body does need time to heal.
3. How long should I wait to TTC?
This depends on 2 things... 1) what your dr recommends and 2) how you and DH feel. My dr advised me to have 1 AF (induced or not) and then on 2nd one we can start treatments again. Since I'm so irregular and had to get progesterone shot to bring on this AF dr told me I can come back in 30 days (from when AF started) to get another shot and move foward.
4. How do I start the TTC rollercoaster again?
This is truly the question that all of us ask. For me personally I needed to do some soul searching and decided that I wanted to start TTC again as soon as possible. I'm ready to have a baby and I know that my future child will never replace the one I lost, yet I wanna be a mommy!
