Default Where do you get your testing supplies?

My insurance used to cover test strips and now they don't anymore. I went to Walmart to pick some up the other day and a pack of 50 strips was going to be $55 with tax!! ACK!!! Anywhere else I could try? I need the stripes for the Asencia Elite XL monitor. Thanks!

I would like to see the answer for that too. My insurance doesnt pay for my test strips either, so I purchase my test strips out of pocket from CVS pharmacy. For 50 strips it costs around $45.It gets costly when my doctor wants me to test 3x a day but I only test 2x a day cuz the test strips go so fast. I hope someone out there has a better option

Hey Ladies...i Use Reli On Products For My Glucose Testing... The Meter Is A Rely On Ultima...it Takes Less Blood And You Can Test On Your Forearm Where It Is Less Painfull, But The Price Point Is About 1/2 Of The Accu Checks And Ect... The Strips Are Also Way Less Expensive...i Got 100 Strips For About $49.oo...now My Diabetes Is A Little Wacky Even With Diet And Excercise, So I Am Testing 5 Or 6 Times A Day...with The Met And Actos, Sometimes I Get Really Low And Have To Take Glucotabs Or Have A Soda/// But I Am Finding That The Reli On Brand Is Vry Reasonable And The Products Seem To Be Accurate And Fine. I Got It At Walmart, And Sams Club Carries The 100 Strip Packs That Are Even Cheaper If You Can Get Them That

I would tell your doctor that you don't have insurance to cover the supplies and see if they have samples they can give you. My dad's doctor does that for him since she gets them from the drug reps anyway.
