And of course on my arms, legs, face, etc. I have the regular very light hairs that everyone has.
I always thought it was normal for people to pluck out their beard hairs or wax their unibrow, or have unsightly hairy toes, and that every woman has hair in these places. Am I wrong?
Don't have a PCOS dx yet. Waiting on blood test results, but I, my sister, and my OBGYN are all convinced that I have it. So I'm being proactive and asking Q's.
We sound very similar. I too think that I have PCOS because I have all of the symptoms. I have hair in the following places as well:
chin
toes
belly
bottom
lower back
unibrow that I pluck everyday so it doesn't look like one
upper, upper thighs (you know what I mean? )
and even a few hairs on my fingers
I feel that it is excessive (look at all that!!) mainly because I see women wearing bikinis, halter shirts, hip pants, etc and I know theres no way I could effortlessly wear any of that. I am very jealous.
chin, mostly underneath
corners of upper lip
slight side burns--can trim this and its ok
slight line down from stomach
upper legs, inner thigh area
arms
I always notice how many women have no hair on their arms. Wouldn't that be nice?
Some upper lip (wax)
Chin (pluck)
Underchin...the worst......I feel like a man (shave & pluck)
belly
Yet, I have hardly any pubic hair
arm hair (bleach)
leg (shave)
Somday, my gradschool life will be over, and I will have $ to start some laser treatment

OMG, since some of you said you have hair on your upper upper thighs, I decided to check mine (which I can't usually see b/c my huge belly blocks the view - sorry for being gross) and I have tons of hair there. Yucky. Good thing I don't swim much or hang out at the beach. I think the next time I buy a bathing suit, I'll get one with a little swimskirt. These used to look old fashioned or something but they make cutesie ones now.
This was the only PCOS symptom I thought I didn't have that was keeping me clinging to the slight chance that I don't have it, but I guess I'm out of luck. Sigh. If the blood tests come back and say I don't have it, I'll be really shocked. Then what will I do? I can't stand this waiting game. Sigh again Geez, maybe I should post in the ranting section.
I have it everywhere. Face, chin, side burns, arms, legs, fingers, toes, back, etc etc. Can't think of anywhere else right now - but I'm sure it's there

Face (I could grow a full beard if I didn't shave!LOL) ~ Upper lip ~
Chin and under chin ~ Chest ~ Stomach(all over) ~ Inner thigh ~ arms ~ sides of my hands (I absolutely hate that!) ~ Knuckles ~ Back and Buttocks
Of all the symptoms of PCOS I hate the excess hair the worst!
I think that since the hair is caused by a medical condition, insurance companies all over America should have to cover the removal of it!!!!!!!!
slight upper lip
under chin on one side (horrid thick dark hair )
under my belly button
upper inner thighs
back of thighs
back of forearms
I hate being hairy!!!!

OMG here we go, since I have been reading this thread, I have realized that I have more and more hair. It's starting to frighten me, quite frankly. Newly discovered . . .
Above lip at the edges (hubby made some rude comment one day about my "Chinese mustache")
Behind thighs have unruly manly hairs (I was wondering why they had gotten more hairy. I thought it was just me)
And the aforementioned upper thigh / pubic region
How long did it take me to put 2 and 2 together? Duh!
Thankfully, most of my hair (at least the hair that sees the light of day) is very blond.
I can't think of anyplace that I don't have extra hair....it would be easier for me to list hairless spots, methinks. You know, as much as I hate the unneccessary hair, I can almost deal with it now that I know I'm not some circus freak. I used to think that it was a very rare problem, since it's not something I notice a lot, but now I know I'm not alone. It's good to know, in a strange way, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Unless - someday - chubby, furry women come in vogue.

I have extra hair on my breasts, stomach bellow belly button, my entire leg (especially inner and back of thighs), breasts, forearms, sideburns, butt (especially in the crack...lol...sowwy for being graphic). And this hair is just not average hair...it is dark and coarse. It is like I have pubic hair down to my knees....ewwww.... Because it is so course, it is hard to deal with...shaving leaves coarse stubble that breaks out and becomes ingrown.
Erin, I know what you mean, it's so hard to get rid of!!!!!!!
Well, starting at the top, I pluck my eyebrows but then don't almost all women?
I use cream on my moustache although I've tried waxing, I stopped that when some coarse hair started growing back, freaked me out! That was when I decided enough was enough and went to the doctors, not that I'm taking any drugs but at least I know I DO have PCOS now.
I pluck the very coarse black hair from under my chin and shave any bits that are too stubborn, or short to grab hold of, but in-grown hair is the bane of my life!
I use an epilators for the backs of my forearms which have very dark hair, the front of my arms have quite dark long hair but I just leave that for fear of making things worse!
I have to shave just below my belly button, an area that is increasing in size unfortunately, tried waxing, plucking, epilating all lead to terrible in-grown hair.
Then we get to the bikini area which seems to spread half way down my inner thighs! I shave that area but as you said, the hair is almost pubic so it's tough and leaves razor bumps which don't look lovely, tried waxing but I bleed!!
The backs of my thighs have long dark hair - lovely, shave that area, but difficult to see really.
Then my lower legs, shave those but the hair is dark and grows very quickly, my legs never look nice and smooth and hair free. I have that sexy plucked chicken look whether I pluck or not!
And lastly, I sometimes shave, sometimes pluck the few hairs off the top of me feet and toes.
Um, think that's it. And my boyfriend think's he has it tough cause he shaves his beard every day - LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:p
Good God, I'm amazed we have time to do anything else!!!
Honey
