I have to shave under my neck everyday and my upperlip, and my sideburns if i'm not wearing my hair down. I also have to shave my chest if i want to wear a lowcut top. I sometimes shave my arms and belly depending on whats going on. I do my arms and legs (though but doesn't everyone) I've never shaved my butt yet, but I would never let anyone touch it or see it!
well, my upper lip, chin, under chin, my belly, sometimes my bum crack area, and i trim my sideburns, and sometimes my legs, lol. i pluck my nipple hairs.
turn on water and radio
hop in
shave neck and sideburns
wash hair
wash face
put in conditioner
shave legs
shave belly
shave bikini area
shave armpits
rinse out conditioner
get out of shower
pluck around nipples and any strays I may have missed
My upper lip hair is sparse and blonde (which is weird seeing as every other hair on my body is black!) so I use manicure scissors to trim it.

also weird is that my arms are nearly hairless! people used to ask me if I shaved them but I don't and never have. While the rest of me is hairy, my arms look like a baby's butt. weird weird weird body o'mine.

wow, to think, this whole time, i thought i was the only one who plucked her boobs lol
i bought that As Seen on TV thing called the Finishing Touch for Women and let me tell you, it works WONDERS. it's just a personal trimmer, doesn't hurt at all - i use that on my sideburns, chin, upper lip and i get my eyebrows waxed. i don't worry about the fuzz so much on my belly because i've got a huge scar from a surgery i had as a kid so i leave the little happy trail as is
though i want to get a brazilian wax done along with my legs, i've never had anything waxed before besides my face so who knows how that will go.
wow, this site is simply SUPERB! i thought i was the ONLY chick who had these problems sometimes, none of my friends have to deal with the daily regiment i have to. it's a nice feeling to have a support group like this.

it definitely is nice to be able to talk about this with understanding people!
as for a bikini/brazillian wax - go for it. (I used to get it done, but now can't justify spending what i don't have on it.) My advice - don't get it done during AF and before you go, pop two advils. Then it'll be smooth sailing.
and nice to hear about the finishing touch thing. I saw it advertized but wasn't too sure about it. may have to check it out!

i'm sorry you didn't have a good experience with the personal trimmer. i guess it works different for different people. i don't really have a problem with it but our hair types may be different. you'll find something that works. hang in there.

Wherever theres a will theres a way...for the hair unfortunately
I'm a human carpet! I am a compulsive shaver to but it is so much better than tweezing and waxing because it doesn't stimulate the follicules and WHEN I get rid of it permanently it will be easier. That is my ultimate goal in life is to get rid of my body hair! Sad isn't it, but it's stopping me from living and that is just unfair!:o

i'm not on any meds yet but are you guys all saying that even after i go on the meds, the symptoms won't go away?? i'm going to have to deal with the fact that i get a 5 o'clock shadow faster than my guy friends and the acne and extra weight won't be easier to get rid of??? now i'm really depressed if that's the case.

i wouldnt look at it that way.
ive only been diagnosed since last july and already my test results have balanced out so thats a start. and im in the process of doing lazer so the hair issue is getting alot better too.
yeah but how much does that laser stuff cost and is it a permanent solution?? i'd love to have that done but if it's a lot money ... money i don't have, i can't do it

Back when I was pretty down about my hair, I would fantasize about getting ONE WISH and how I would word it without turning completly hairless and blowing the wish. I finally decided that *if* the opportunity ever comes, I would get a marker and draw circles around the areas of hair I would like to keep...head, eyebrows, lashes, etc. Then I would say, "with the exception of the areas inside the enclosed ink area, please make my whole body hair free forever."
I obsessed about it so much that I went through the possibilities of saying "make the hair out side of the circled areas go away." Would not be permenant because it would go away, as said, but it would come back. Also, hairs not in cycle would come back or new hairs would grow. If you said with the exception of the circled areas, the "genie" would say that there were no circles, because they wouldn't be perfectly shaped circles.....
How sad is that!!!! Thank goodness I have gotten over ALL THAT. I still pluck, shave and wax, but I don't get that down and depressed about it. I have come to accept it more, I guess.
