For those of you who have adopted...
we are doing a private international adoption...do I just choose an agency to do a homestudy? I'm in NC...any suggestions?

I was also going to ask how you can do a private international adoption? Are you sure you can? I don't see how you can? You almost need to go through an agency.

Hey-
Thanks for the response about the homestudy...we've got it worked out.
For the ladies who asked about the private international adoption...we travel a lot in central america and we have lots of contacts there. We're working through an attorney here, and an attorney there. We are able to do it because of the people we know. The attorneys do all the paperwork that an agency would do. We know others who have done it. It is a lot more work (on our part) than going through an agency, but cheaper.
