I think someone said if they drink plenty of water with the pills they don't get indigestion. I have to look it up and see but I think the headaches can be caused by saw palmetto- I'll check.

Points: 2,680.42 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,680.42 | Hi, I came across this thread and what really interested me was the cysters that said they had more energy and didn't sleep as much. I am ALWAYS tired, my average sleep is like 12 hrs. a day (crazy, I know...sometimes more)and I can always sleep more. I can't remember the last time I felt rested or had energy...maybe in my teenage years before all this? I would luv to have energy again and feel rested when I wake up. Although I have had many improvements with other symptoms of PCOS in the past couple of years, my sleeping need is not one of them. All of the doctors I have seen, including a Psychiatrist, have not been able to help me with this issue. Those of you that have found it helps with sleeping too much...do you really think it's worth the money? I'm sooo poor I have to pick and choose which prescription and OTC drugs I take very carefully. Thanks! Jean

Points: 275.42 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 275.42 | Happy so far! I've been taking Insulite for a week and a half and so far I've noticed a faster metabolism, though not hungry between meals, slower growth in facial hair (a big deal lately!), no hypoglycemia, and a little more energy. I'm a strange case because I finished 8 months of chemo 5 months ago and the chemo, rather than screwing up my cycles further, made me regular like clockwork. Go figure.
At first I wondered how on earth I was going to manage to take all those pills, but it hasn't been an issue and helps me get down more water. Having to plan in taking those pills, some with food, and some without, actually helps me plan my meals and eat them more regularly, because I have to think ahead about when I'm going to eat and whether I need to take the pills with me. |

Congratulations on your weight loss! I am sooo jealous! Also, I totally understand the tired thing. I can easily sleep 12+ hours, too. And I never got a straight answer for it either. It was the pcos or my thyroid or my anxiety or depression. I really don't know what causes it. I have felt better since taking Insulite. I was on vacation the last two weeks and "forgot" to take it and I feel sluggish again. The last time I felt energetic and rarin' to go was when I started dating my husband 8 years ago. I was so in love I had that natural high going for months. It was great! I always tease him about it. I'll say "you don't excite me like you used to" and he'll say "you don't weigh what you used to." (okay, so I've gained 70 pounds!), but it's all in good fun-we have to joke about it.

But I have to get back on the stuff. Since I stopped taking it a couple of weeks ago (was on vacation) I feel bloated, tired, and depressed again. My husband even said I was happier and energetic while on it. But the period thing was really exciting since she was only regular with BCP.

My Mood: Points: 775.20 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 775.20 | I've been taking it for a little over a month now. I also got my period after taking it for a week or so. My cycles are usually about 60 to 80 days. Now I'm having my second period since being on insulite. My cycle this month was only 27 days long. I'm very excited about how this is working out. |
