Hi everyone. I have a question on this Insulite program. It looks really expensive. 100.00 a month is alot of money. Has anyones insurance covered this program. I am really interested in this program. It sounds like alot of people are doing well with this program. Any advise would help on this.

I don't think insurance will cover Insulite, yet. What I don't understand is why do doctors put patients on rx meds when there are natural remedies that can work even better? ($$$) My blood sugar is absolutely perfect when I take this stuff. My fasting has always been fine, but my one-hour after eating would go to 170 or 180 if I ate bad. It even went over 200 when I was doing my own glucose-tolerance test! The other day I had a huge Blizzard from Dairy Queen and one-hour later my sugar was only 118! I know it's not an excuse to eat bad but I was amazed! But I have not been taking my pills like I should because I was on vacation and then visiting my family so I need to get back on track.

After looking at all of your posts I decided to try Insulite labs, just ordered yesterday. Hope all goes well and I can get a period and get rid of my ever increasing facial hair! LOL! Good luck all.

Jaxanne, thanks for the reply to my post about the energy question! I'm watching this thread to see how everyone is doing. Can't afford it right now, but hoping maybe in a month or two. The current medical bills come first. I guess it can't hurt to try it someday. I've spent tons of money/time on finding a solution and I'm willing to try one more. Maybe one day, right?! I'm just really depressed about everything lately. I wonder what I would do with all that time if I didn't have to deal with PCOS! Jean

Citrine, I know what you mean about the time thing. I wonder what it would be like not having to wax and pluck constantly. Just get up in the morning, get in the shower, and get dressed. Not worrying about facial hair or acne or ingrown hairs. That would be grand! PCOS has cost me soooo much money!

My intent is to answer a poster's question above...not to be ugly or start a debate. Someone asked why docs don't provide this sort of stuff for treatment. One answer. MONEY. They can't make money off of natural..um...herbal stuff...it won't ever be regulated by the FDA. That's also why some docs fight to get products like this off the market...etc. Some would rather keep you on drugs because, as long as you are 'sick', you are paying them money.

It's an interesting cycle...

I just ordered my insulite...anxious to try it!!!!!! Should be here by the end of the week.

Hi girls,

Well, I will soon be among the few of you who are trying the Insulite program. My sweet mother ordered me a three month supply last week, and I am expecting it any day. She was actually the one that found the stuff and asked me about whether I thought it may help me or not. After extensive research on the ingredients, my husband and I concluded that this was as safe as any of the other medications often prescribed for PCOS.

I will try to keep you all posted on my progress. I am planning to keep a journal for the first few weeks at least, complete with mood changes, sleeping habits, measurements, and weight. I will be following the Insulin Resistance diet, and am expecting my treadmill at the end of this week. I aim to combine the proper diet and exercise with the Insulite supplements.

I am currently on 2000mg of Glucophage daily, and while this medication returned my cycles to normal at first, I fear its effectiveness is wearing off, as I have only had 2 cycles this whole year.

I am hoping that the Insulite system will
a. return my cycles to normal.
b. help improve my energy level.
c. help make my sleep more restful.
d. aid in weight management.

I will keep you girls posted weekly. Forgive me for such a long post.

-Lauren

Default INSULITE LADIES - Question About Medical Research

Hi Insulite Ladies,

I am from Chicago & just went to my Endo last week for a regular visit. I have been reading a lot of positive posts here & so I asked my endo about the insulite. She has never heard of it, but asked me what studies they had done testing their product. She wants to see if they took a thousand people w/ pcos and a thousand people w/o and gave them the insulite in a controlled environment.

I went on the Insulite website and could not see any findings posted. Does anyone know if they tested this product in the way I described and if those indings are published somewhere? Also, have any of your doctors heard of this company and are recommending it? This doctor looked at me like I am crazy for researching this stuff and wanting to get better - she looked at me like I am some hypochondriach (sp) for wanting to take more pills!!!

Hi Chicago Girl....

Yeah most docs give ANYONE who tries to do their own research a weird look.

But think about it from their shoes.... 'who do they think they are...coming in here with solutions. That's MY job.'

I can share that because that's exactly what a doctor friend of mine told me when we had this exact discussion... At least he was honest!!

...you can email and correspond with the Insulite docs about your questions. Their quickness and quality of responses is amazing.

GOOD LUCK!

Question

I just ordered Insulite today and cannot wait to try it. From everyone's posts, it sounds amazing. I really hope that it helps. I will keep you posted.

Also, has anyone had a Dr recommendation for Insulite? Has anyone been taking Insulite for 6 mo or more?

Please keep updating on the Insulite...

Take Care Cysters,

dreamer

Default 1 month of insulite

I just wanted to update on my experience. What I noticed right away (and I may have posted this before, sorry if I'm repeating) was that my skin was better- sort of a radiance, which was wonderful after what my chemotherapy did to my skin. I also noticed a little more energy and kind of a jump- start to my metabolism. I started to get some low grade headaches the second week, and by the third week I was having trouble with low blood sugar. I got nervous and stopped taking it because of this coupled with some comments I was getting from other people about this being a sham and dangerous. However, after stopping it, I noticed I was sweating at night again and had less energy. plus my skin wasn't quite as lovely Anyway during the time I stopped taking Insulite, I thought about it and realized that I was trying to cut the carbs, but wasn't really replacing them. Since my metabolism was finally moving, I needed to eat more since I had gotten used to not needing to eat regularly. So I decided to go back on it and instead of trying right away to start cutting carbs, I decided I would get used to eating frequently and then when i was used to that, start replacing carbs with protein, fruits, and veggies. I emailed the insulite folks, and they agreed that I should try eating 5-6 times a day and sent me some sample recipes and a 7 day eating plan. If you have any questions or concerns (even about breastfeeding kellyh!) I wouln't hesitate at all to contact them, they are so great about communicating with you and helping you out.

I have noticed the headaches are back, which is dissapointing because I've been eating more so it's not because of low blood sugar (although the low blood sugar weakness and sluggishness has been helped by eating more often). But I'll give it awhile to see if my body gets used to it and they go away.

I got my period this week, and while I've been having them regularly for a year (go figure, chemo was supposed to make me infertile, not regulate my periods! "chemo might be right for you, check with your doctor. Side effects might include...") they have been really light and short. Well, this has been like a real period, normal flow.

Lastly, I agree that I wish insulite would do some studies. This stuff will never be regulated, and that can be a little scary. Yeah, the doctors can't make money off of it, and I've definitely had doctors that didn't know everything, but I would still feel better if there were some official source saying this stuff was safe and works. But I guess I haven't died yet, and it seems to be doing good things, so it must be ok. Sorry this is such a long post. Ladies, good luck and please keep posting your results on this! With no information anywhere else on this stuff, I really rely on other peoples' experiences with this.

I think it maybe- I have lost 6 lbs but I have not commited to a full exercise program- not as hungry all the time- okay now the not so good terrible heartburn if you don't drink tons of water- I ate chocolate turtle fudge this weekend on vacation spent the rest of the night in the bathroom!! Sweet Sweets and this stuff does not mix. I have tried, Metformin, provera, clomid, sprilactone & Birth control pills and I have never had this kind of results before. My only concern is; Is this a life time committment of 24 pills a day? @ $100 a month? I think I will E-mail Insulite

I will keep ya'll updated! and ya'll do the same now ya hear!!!!
until the next time Laura
