Actually no... it's not a 'you will take this for the rest of your life' product. I emailed to ask this exact question.
I was told it's recommended that we try it for 6 months to fully allow the cellular changes to take place in our bodies and at that point we would determine 'have I met my goals', 'is my problem under control', 'do I need to be on it longer'... Of course, the minute we stop exercising and eating right.....I bet everything will go back to the way it was. It's one of those 'lifestyle' things...
Can't wait to start this stuff.

Hi ladies, I was reading up about the PCOS annual convention in Denver the weekend of 15th in September and Insulite is listed as an option for one of the workshops to choose from on one of the afternoons. Since it is actually a part of the convention and not just like a side booth that impresses me. Hopefully the PCOS convention would not promote a system that was "bad" for you. I am hoping to get out there for the convention, will choose that workshop and will post my experience! Thank goodness I have an old college friend that lives out there to help offset some cost. It is kind of pricey for a ticket, even if you are a member! Jean

I let my Insulite sit for a while after I got it because I was nervous about side effects. I even e-mailed the company a question about the adrenal gland extracts because I have panic disorder. They got right back to me and told me it was not a stimulant and it would help support the adrenal glands which could help with my anxiety. They were right; I feel so much better on this stuff. I guess the interesting thing to see when I get my blood work done will be if my "numbers" have improved. I have no doubt they will, I want to wait at least three more months to check since I went off a while. But I do know my blood sugar levels are fantastic on this stuff. I check those almost every day.

I have been taking it for 4.5 days and I can tell a subtle difference already. I have a little more energy, I am getting a little more friendly (the imbalance has made me a complete WITCH), I am at little more happy with things.... OH... and I haven't been having ANY bathroom issues from Metformin either!!! ROCK N ROLL!!!! ha ha...

Points: 545.90 Bank: 777.92 Total Points: 1,323.82 | I went off of the Insulite pills for a day after they made me throw up yesterday (I think it was them anyway.) Will try again tomorrow. I took them successfully for about 4 days and then I stepped up the GlucX to the full 12 per day and got sick. My blood sugar was 76, but I really don't think that is low enough to make me feel hypoglycemic. I think maybe just too many pills in my belly.

Points: 799.32 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 799.32 | I have to say the 2nd day I was taking it I felt very sick to my stomach to I emailed insulite, seems I was not drinking enough water with my pills; I didn't realize that you have to drink atleast 8to 16 oz of water with the pills not just the normal 64 ozs. thru out the day. Since then I have been Fine. So far so good nothing GREAT has happened yet, just feel better all the way around and If it doesn't help my PCOS,.....I think it has cured my IBS- My stomach feels 500% better than it use to and less trips to the Bathroom.YEA!!!!
