A kiwi bird is native to New Zealand. New Zealanders are known as 'kiwis'. A kiwi is also what people in the US call the furry little little brown fruit, we call them kiwifruit to distinguish between the bird and the fruit.
WOW ok well that's cool! I'm actually allergic to kiwiFRUIT... they make my lips swell up LOL. But I'm not allergic to New Zealanders!

It´s warm at the moment as I am in Spain But starting to get warmer in London too. I´ll be making sure I am back in NZ when it starts to get colder though as love NZ Summers.

Looks like the lakes got their water. Any plans for the weekend kiwis? We've got a birthday party on Saturday night, my dad and brother are down to visit me on Sunday and its also my partner's birthday.
Anyone got a good cake recipe? I usually do a chocolate mud cake but thats getting a bit predictable!

I have just had an 'operation' to pierce a small cyst on the entrance to my womb - I hadn't had any operations for 30 years so was very worried and obsessed about it but it was so easy and I have had hardly any pain or discomfort, just getting exhausted so easily!
Glenys - yeah she was in a rest home close to us for about a year & a half since my grandfather died, we were one of the only ones in the family who cared enough to be her caregivers (ie make decisions on her behalf, visit etc).
