I have never even been on one before so I am nervous about how it is going to affect my body. Who here has taken it and what side effects have you encountered? Info would greatly help! |

My Mood: Points: 6,398.65 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 6,398.65 | I took it and it was also my first BCP. I didnt really have any bad side effects, just very moody and emotional. Emotional and sensitive is my personality anyway but the Loestrin24 FE enhanced it. I've had bad luck with birth control pills in general and am on Yaz right now. I stopped that on my own though. I didnt gain any weight or lose any, no acne and my periods were regular on L24FE. At first, like on all BCP's, it was a little wacky getting it on track but after a few months, it straightened itself out. Were there any specific questions that you had or just wanted general info about it? Good luck |

It didn't give me any emotional breakdowns or moodiness, but I gained about 5-10 lbs on this. Before that, I was on Yasmin with no weight gain but experienced severe moodiness and depression. Still on the quest to find the right pill. |

I hope you do get the same effects! |

At least from my experience... am I wrong, or have I just been with the wrong men? Har har |

My Mood: Points: 5,949.62 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 5,949.62 | I've been on it for almost 2 months now. My face has cleared up a bit (I was hoping for a bit more). I'm not sure if it's affected my moods because I'm really stressed out right now so any little thing sets me off. After reading MetroRunner's post I'm hoping for a little weight loss!! :o) Odds are it won't happen though. I'm never that lucky!

I have lost weight, but I don't know if it is the pills or me trying to eat a low GI diet and exercise (maybe a combination). However, I think my depression has gotten worse and I have had bad anxiety. |

My Mood: Points: 1,091.12 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,091.12 | I took it for about six weeks and never had a full period with it (not even something that resembled a shorted period). It also made me really moody. I'd be happy for a few days and then the slightest thing would go wrong and I'd plummet. It did really help with acne, but mine's not as bad as it was before, so there was no real benefit for me to continue. Anyway, I've had more luck on Met alone. |

My Mood: Points: 1,711.88 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,711.88 | this is my first month on it, I have only one pill left to take, hope my cycle is regular already. I have had no side effects, I am very happy with it, I haven't had the usual moodiness and irritibility that I usually get and the pain I get a couple weeks into my cycle, so i guess that part of it is working. I have been on diff ones before and heted them because they made me feel pregnant, but not this one! |

I went off of it for a few months a couple years ago to try Yaz because of hair growth, and I absolutely hated every second I was on it. I finally stopped taking it and begged my doctor to put me back on Loestrin.

A little bump of horomoes plus the benifit of birth control... but 'hair growth' when I'm doing electrolysis now for those on my chinny chin chin is a scary thought! And not mentioned on the packaging.
tell me about this side effect! |
