-You can get Loestrin 1/20 which has a generic. It is the exact same formulation but has 7 days of placebos instead of only 4.

-You can get a prescription card from the Loestrin 24 FE website. It guarantees you pay only 24$, the only catch is that you have to get it from your doctor.

-You can buy in bulk. Express Scripts lets you buy 3 months at a time and delivered to your house for less than picking them up at a pharmacy.

Thanks so much for the info, I'm going to look into Express Scripts and the website!

My doctor just switched me to Loestrin 24 today. I am currently taking Yaz but have started to experience terrible PMS, cramps during my period, an increase in acne and decreased libido. I hope it works out for me!

I've been on it 2 weeks now and I'm more emotional than normal, I've already started my period, tender breasts, anxiety and a low sex drive.

This is my second month on it. I took it a few months ago for cyst and am now taking another break from ttc to take it again for MORE cyst. I definetly feel more emotional and my boobs hurt SO SO bad, but to me it's worth a month of doing it so hopefully next month the cyst will be gone and we will be back on track for ttc. I am not sure that I would take it long term just because of these side effects.

I came across this post again and had to give an update: Thus far I've noticed with Loestrin 24 that I suffer moodiness and a low sex drive which my boyfriend immediately noticed one night while in the act. I used to have a really high sex drive due to the testosterone but now, being on Loestrin, Metformin, and Spiro is all causing the sex drive to disappear and I'm still moody at times...as I still say however, anything's better than YAZ. Yuck! Yay for Loestrin
