How terribly thoughtless of me! Sorry! I've added this as a poll option.

I am really glad that there are men on the board, I think those of you who care enough to learn about this syndrome are very special!
I hope and pray that my DH never comes here, for me this is my little sanctuary! He only cares about how this has affected our sexlife, he doesn't care about how this has affected me physically and emotionally.
But I am so happy for my Cysters who have understanding and caring Mysters and SOs.
This is also my little sanctuary for emotional support.
DH is one of those who is only very good at providing financially etc. (very practical person) He expects me to deal with the emotional aspects of PCOS by myself. He's also not a very verbal person, so it's nice to read about what other men think about PCOS. Your SOs are very lucky. OH... and I married DH because I liked the strong, silent type
This might sound odd, I'm not sure if I want my DH on here. I think it's wonderful for those of you who are here...it's so nice to see things from the other side sometimes. He knows I spend nearly every spare minute I have on these boards...but he doesn't read them and I like that. I post some really personal things on here that he would probably be upset that I told anyone about....let alone 7,630 people that I don't "know". Not to mention, if he were on here how could I complain about him?

"It's everything I ever wanted but didn't realize I did." Noah Wyle on being a parent
I found out tonight that apparently my DH is a sneaky one. He has been reading the boards from time to time "I want to educate myself so I'm not a complete moron".
So I guess I'll have to watch what I say about him
Hi honey!

I'm a 22 year old with PCOS, I'm single but I thought I'd have a look on this board and see what you men have to say for yourselves! I think it's great that there are guys out there who want to find out more about PCOS is their wife/girlfriend has it...I know some guys aren't too keen on icky girl stuff but it's nice that some of you want to know more, maybe it'll help you cope with all the PCOS moodswings and madness!!
I've been diagnosed for about 3 years but I've never really explained PCOS to a boyfriend, the most I've ever said is to the guy I was seeing when I was diagnosed and all I told him was that there was something not right with my hormones so that's why I had to take medication...I dunno, I worry about scaring a guy off if I start going into loads of details about periods and body hair and weight issues and things!! When not many people know about it, it helps me forget about it myself and feel more normal...I'm kind of dreading the day when (if!) I meet someone really special and he mentions having kids or something, I guess I might have to explain it all then...
my husband is not quite the lurker...but he often asks me what's new on the board, and I let him in on everyone's problems so we can compare them with mine. I came to the conclusion thatwe're all pretty unique.

I just wanted to say, I feel lucky to have a someone that wants to know what's going on and how it may affect us in the future. Having his understanding is kinda like having the support of my cysters on here, only a lil more closer to home...
HURRAY for all the fellas that care enough to understand.
(And to my special fella...I love ya..)

~~MY DD Rhianna was born still, 12/21/02(3:29) along w/her undevolped twin. We miss you angel.

I just wanted to say to those of you who said you werent sure if you wanted you DH on this board. I too felt this way but my soon to be DH was confused etc. and I thought this board might help (particularly the mens bit). I sat down with him and registered him so he is now part of it all.
So that both of us can speak freely we have a pact that neither of us will read the others posts without permission. Though to some this might seem wierd we do have an honest relationship but this makes us able to speak our hearts and thoughts here without it starting a fight at home. This does rely on trust and so far I have never read a post of his and as far as I know he hasnt read mine.
