Thumbs down WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay girls, yuck! I was just sitting here at my computer. I stood up and all the sudden without any warning, "it" started coming out! I got to the bathroom ASAP. For the past week my BM's have been just like water. Its so gross. I'm literally pi**ing out of my butt! I've been on XR for a week now. I havn't even eaten today yet. This is embarassing and gross! Is this happening to anyone else?

You are not the only one! Sometimes when I go to the bathroom it sounds as if someone is dumping a glass of water from shoulder height into the toilet...YUCK!!! It is absolutely awful!

I have been on the Met for 6 months now and is still happens - but not every day like it used to when I started.

In spite of the side effects, I am still seeing an overall benefit, so I will stay on it!

I hope you tummy gets better soon - most people's do!

Hi Ladies! Mine was awful when I first started met in June! But, I posted to give you a bit of hope, I have noticed in the last 2 weeks I am having NORMAL bm's again! It has taken about 4 months but it seems that the nasty s/e has gone away, hopefully for good! Melissa

MY FRIEND THIS TO SHALL PASS. AFTER A WHILE THE SIDE EFFECTS WILL EASE OFF. BUT, IF YOU STOP TAKING IT AND START AGAIN YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL THE SIDE EFFECTS AGAIN.

Did you start out on 2000mg? If so that may be the problem. My Dr. started me out slowly with 500mg for a week and then 1000 for a week and now i'm on 1500 for a week then I go to 1700. I had 1 loose BM when I first started taking it and thats it so far. I may just have a strong stomache who knows lol . But if i were you I would ask my Dr about starting slowly. Hope I helped.

I have been on Met 500 mg twice a day since the end of May, and have had the same violent BM problems. Now it's only a couple times a week, usually if I get stupid and get too many carbs or ANY refined sugar. Even one piece of hard candy is enough to do the trick. My husband just shakes his head,"sounds like you have butt-sickness again."
