So important to slowly up your dose?
I have been on met before, but never asked why. I was put on met a week ago. I started out again at 500 mg for the first week and just started 1000mg today, next week I will start at 1500 mg and stay there. I never asked the dr why I needed to slowly work my way up. I dont have any bathroom problems. Does anyone have the answer?

Thats generally why Shanah, bathroom troubles. Your so lucky that you haven't had any. Hopefully with a higher dose you won't either GL
