Your probaly not eating enough throughout the day so your getting hungry more certain times of the day. I was like that awhile back. Are you staying active? Are you drinking enough water? How many meals are you eating during the day? are you getting in a snack or two? You should really try to go a week of eating on a schedule and small meals throughout the day and drink lots of water and see if that helps if not you should talk to your doctor about what is going on. I know for me that was the problem not allowing myself to eat enough during the day, thinking I am eating to much and thinking if I skip a meal it will help but in the end all it did was mess me up even worse and I had bad times of the day that I would binge because I was so hungry because I wasn't filling up during my meals. If your eating healthy foods during the day and staying active and drinking lots of water throughout the day you shouldn't be hungry. I learned the hard way it does take awhile to actually believe that eating several times a day and actually enjoying what you eat and allowing yourself to eat until you get full will work but it does and at the end of the day your not wanting to go hit the fridge or start looking around in the kitchen. Have you ever kept a food journal?

As said above it depends on what you are eating.

I feel "fuller" with a meal of good carbs longer than a all protein meal. (My good carbs are potatoes, w.bread, fruit, grains, pasta, etc (all in moderation))
You may need to experiment with foods to find the combo that works for you!

Dont take any of our opinions as truth ; you'll have to find "your" way.

Good luck.

I posted something simalar on another thread

When did this 'always' hungry start. I bet its when you cut out carbs right?

Wierd illistration, but follow me. When you eat a diet for a while your belly starts to build up more and more of the enzymes needed to break down that particular type of food. When we stop eating that type of food we crave it. This goes to the extreme for Gulten (or bread/ flour ect.. basically all wheat).

I found out I am extremely sensitive to gluten, went on the gulten free diet and it has done wonders for me ( ex. my severe athsma is under control no meds)

Anyway when I first took gulten out of my diet I remember there was this one day where I was eating oatmeal literally to the point when I felt like I was going to throw up if I eat any more, Yet I was starving.

So long and short of it, If you cut out wheat, don't go back the ezymes in your belly screaming feed me will die. Drinking Lemon water helps speed this up I am told. It took me about a week.

This may be whats going on.

You might also be hungry simply because you're not eating enough food (calories), or not enough 'bulky' foods.

When I started aiming at getting 7-9 servings of veggies a day, I stopped getting hunger and having cravings.

(In order to get in that many veggies, you need to start early...like at breakfast! In other words, try starting your day with a big 'dark' green salad and protein, or some steamed veggies and protein.)

i always eat breakfast. usually honey nut cherrios... and my lunch is usually left over dinner from the night before, so theres always meat, carbs, and a veggie, or i'll make a turkey sandwich if there were no left overs. i love broc and cauliflower, carrots, celerey, but they just dont last as long as i'd like them too.. cuz i dont eat them fast enough cuz i'm the only one eating them... DH doesnt really eat them like i do

Try switching from cereal to veggies, protein, and good fat. Also check to make sure that over the course of the day, you're getting enough calories.

I can see how your job would keep you from eating at regular times, but how does it keep you from eating 'better' foods?

Also, have you tried putting your daily menu into a program like fitday to make sure you're eating enough of the proper nutrients?

Lastly, when you're eating veggies, are you eating 1/2 a cup, or are you eating a large serving? As has been mentioned you might simply need to eat more food...not just calories, but volume.

Thirst can also be mistaken for hunger.

thank you for all your tips.

i usually eat a large serving of veggies.

Me and DH are trying to eat better, so next time i go to the grocery theres more fresh fruit and veggies i wanna get.

And i'm not really hungry ALL the time... mostly between meals but sooner than i think i should be getting hungry...

I've been drinking alot more water too. I was drinking 3-4 cans of vanilla coke zero a day. now i either have none or 1 with dinner. Its all just a work in progress
