Default Why am I taking BCP?

For the last few weeks, I have had some pretty severe abdominal pain so I called my OB about it. She said that I should take Yasmin until our appointment with the RE at the end of the month. Any ideas on why? What is it supposed to do for me?

In my opinion, gyns like to give women bcps when they complain of abdominal pain. I don't know why exactly, but think it has something to do with bcp's can sometimes help w/ hormones. I went to a doc for over 5 years for my pains and she just kept switching my pills. But the pill never worked for relieving the pain. Hopefully since your RE appt. is close, you can get possibly some better advice. It's kinda weird that she would prescribe you birth control when you're ttc, unless it's to try to regulate you. They say that Yasmin is supposed to be the best for us pcos'ers. Hope everything works out!

Can't wait to start WW again and loose the other 15lbs I gained with the last pregnancy and the 30lbs I still needed to lose with the first one.
